Overall, I had a good experience with Rainbow Air. We bought our tickets before noon and came back when they told us to be there for our flight. We still had to wait about an hour before our flight. The four of us (all adults) boarded the helicopter and then the pilot ramped up the rotors a couple of times before deciding that we were too heavy. I think they topped off the fuel before we boarded and a few of our group was a little on the large side...so they split us into two flights. This was not a big deal as the passengers in the front seat could not talk to those in the back seat anyway. Also, this was my first time in a helicopter and I was happy to err on the side of caution! Our flight was only about 8 minutes long...and the other half our group was only in the air for about 7 minutes. I didn't really notice but some of our non-flying members of our family told me later that they had timed it since they didn't have anything better to do! During our fight they gave passengers on both sides some great views and I was able to take some great photos! The staff was courteous and professional. I would definitely use...

Many of the reviews say this is 10-12 mins with a tour recording telling you what you’re going over, it’s 6 minutes and they will not speak to you at all. Their site says they are open Thurs-Mon, they were closed Thursday as well. I chatted with the company through email with our specifics where they told us it’s walk up only, no reservations. This is like an amusement park ride where they rush you in and out as fast as they can. We arrived Friday about 10 minutes before they opened and a full tour group gets the first flights regardless of arrival time, so we still waited an hour. The views are incredible. It was well worth it, just manage your expectations. The prices are also $135 pp. They do offer child rate, a child is under 50” (roughly an 8 year old). They also offer 10% off discount in all the local flyers, it’s really $10 not 10%. So overall, very poorly managed, but your ONLY option in town. If they had any competition they would be out of business. We would do it again because the views are unbeatable from the air. No cleaning in between rides, but masks were...

Unfortunately I did not get to experience what this helicopter ride did or did not have to offer. I was scheduled to be married at the beginning of August during the helicopter ride, and due to inclement weather, it did not happen. While the weather is out of everyone's control, the lack of communication through this company, was within their' control. Our wedding coordinator, kept in close contact with Rainbow Air to see if they had clearance to fly and we were to be given their final decision by noon. Our coordinator made several attempts to reach the company leading up to noon and after, with no luck. I was there during her calls and so I know it to be true. My husband and I did end up getting married that day, but were extremely disappointed with the process. What was equally disappointing was how the Director of Operations followed through with my concerns. It is really too bad that it was handled this way and I really think that it would have been...

Great experience, professional staff, reasonable pricing. Riding in the chopper was soooooo cool. They took us around pretty much every single angle of the falls and we got some amazing images and video. The ride was smooth and I felt very secure. The chopper seemed like it was in really good shape. The staff were super professional. They weigh you before you go up so they know where to place you in the craft. They have a team of guys that give you the run down of how things will work before you get on and you can tell they all follow proper procedure for safety. They were friendly and very professional. The pricing for going up is $125/adult and $100 per kid 40in to 50in. That seems like a lot however running a business like this cannot be cheap. The cost of fuel and insurance alone is probably astronomical. Also, you get to take as many images and videos as you want while you're up there and those are shots you won't get anywhere else. Definitely worth it.
