There’s much more than reading to experience at the Nyack Library in a 1920s Historical Building on S Broadway in Nyack NY. I moved here recently from Los Angeles and was so pleased to walk over and get my library card. This is a social hub for the locals. The library hosts French and Spanish classes, cooking for teens , art , elder groups, music . Wine tastings from Tuscany. Etc The librarians and staff are pleasant and helpful. The computer room is up to date as is the fax and even a notary public on the premises. I was really excited to see a permanent collection of original author’ s books. I added my signed copy of my recently Published SMART ART book. Drop by and peruse their monthly brochure of events and classes, especially mid you’re in the 10960 zip code. This Library is STATE of the ART!

This is one of the best public library in our area. It has ample parking space and the building is very large. The view of the Hudson River from the upper floors is spectacular. It is nice and quiet and very conducive to reading and working.

Me and my kids came up from Penns Grove NJ for a day trip in Nyack. The library was our first stop and we absolutely loved it!! Such a beautiful library with so many great books especially for children.

I'm writing this in response to the recent review by "Elite Group." I was there at the same time and heard the entire exchange. I was doing some writing at the library that day and his two kids were running around and screaming at the top of their lungs for an extended period of time. They could be heard two floors up. He berated the librarian for a full 30 minutes, threatening her with a bad review, telling her "people are going to read my review and know how easy it is for kidnappers to take kids." He was so incredibly disrespectful, clearly trying to provoke her into and argument. All the while, his kids continued to shriek as loud as they possibly could. The librarian was incredibly kind and patient during the whole exchange, even while the man was insulting her and the library. The Nyack Library is one of the nicest libraries I've even been to. It's gorgeous and peaceful and...

I took my 2 toddlers age 3 and 4 to the children’s room. The librarian saw they were with me. As I was in the play area sitting down my kids walked out the children’s room un-attended. I asked the librarian if she saw my kids, she said yea they left but I asked them where they were going.

I have a major concern about that. The exit doors are 3 feet from the entrance. The Librarian does not have enough common sense to realize the danger ⛔️ in an un attended toddler walking right past her. I am very disappointed ☹️ in the performance of the Nyack library...
