The Sweet Spot Shoppe — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

Shame on me. I knew better than to shop here but I did anyway. My daughter's camp decided we could ship a care package. I only had 1 day to mail it before I left for a trip so I ran into Sweet Spot. I was preoccupied with a work call and didn't pay attention when I was checking out. Handed my card over and paid. They put the receipt in the bag and I went back to work. When I looked at the receipt it wasn't itemized. It was over $70. I added up everything with price tags and it came to about $35. The unmarked items were small pieces of Candy. Not $40 worth. I called the store and asked for an itemized receipt. They don't give them. The owner said he would check and get back to me but he was sure it was right. Never heard from him. Bad business. I felt bad for them when Sugar Crazy opened near them but I don't now. Go to Sugar Crazy. It's bigger, waaaaaay more stuff, better prices and the owner isn't nasty. Sweetie's Candy Cottage had way better prices too and...

I love this place! They have an amazing assortment of candies. My favorite is the Swedish candies, but they also carry a really nice assortment of chocolates.

I came here twice. The owner had remembered me from my first visit and remembered what I like and helped me immediately. It’s a mom and pop store, husband and wife, and they are both so friendly and helpful.

This is also a great place if you’re looking for a gift. They carry some beautiful gift items, big and small.

I recommend this shop to anyone with a sweet tooth or to anyone looking for a special gift for someone.

I recently drove to this candy shop because i saw that they have Swedish candy. I didn’t want to go all the way into the city for Bon Bon. It was pricey in comparison which I understand because they’re a third party seller. However I was extremely disappointed with how many pieces of candy were stale and too hard to eat. They also don’t allow you to scoop yourself there so you don’t have much control over the amount unless you are really specific about how many pieces of each you want. Some of the candy seemed newer and soft others were way too...
