Tried to give this pace a second chance. The first time I had ordered Fettuccine Alfredo that was at some point had gotten so hot that the sauce had broken ( butter and cream separated into an oily mess. I had called and complained and the manager/owner was offended like I didn’t know what I was talking about, he doesn’t know that I have a degree in Culinary Arts from one of the best schools in the country, more does he know that I had been working in restaurants for 25 years until medical reasons stole that passion for cooking in the high stress atmosphere of a restaurant kitchen from me. He does not know that you don’t boil an Alfredo sauce and if it is made correctly it will not brake, and still be served hot. But I still wanted to try again perhaps it was just a bad day, it happens, tho it had been some time I called and the manager/owner gave me an attitude from the start and brought up how unhappy I had been the last time I had ordered, but the restaurant has had many happy reviews and I had just gotten home from being in the hospital all day and didn’t feel up to cooking. So where I was willing to try again his attitude was his problem. Bringing up the past order. He has a problem taking criticism and couldn’t let the past be in the past. but a real Alfredo sauce should not cook much hotter the 165 degrees and not be taken to a boil it will brake by the time it comes to a boil. I thanked him for reminding me how bad the food was (like I didn’t remember) and I ordered from Phil and Sons and was very happy. Bella vista your not the only game in town but my advice to you is to cook to the customer and there needs as they are the ones putting their hard earned money in your pocket for a good meal, get an attitude adjustment, be humble when a customer is not satisfied but willing to give you a second chance, but for me I would not be giving...
Read moreI do have to tell EVERYONE that ordering a pie from Bella Vista and picking it up (which is what I did tonight) or having it delivered which is what I have done a few times recently will have YOU calling them immediately (which is what I did the last time) to say that it is the best pizza pie you have ever tasted. It always arrives hot and yummy as could be! I ordered a pie from another local pizzeria recently and it arrived ice cold. Bella Vista uses the finest ingredients and really does it right with their delicious toppings. Tonight I ordered my pie with mushrooms and spinach. To say “highly recommend” is an understatement. This little pizza place tucked away in a little shopping center off Manetto Hill Road should definitely be your favorite little stop the next time you’re in Plainview. So happy to say that they will also deliver to your doorstep if you live in Woodbury. Thank you...
Read moreAfter a rough start we found that both the service and food is amazing. More on that at the end because it was not what defined our visit.
From the appetizers to the main course, and the almond cake dessert everything was amazing. The servers worked very well together with topping off drinks, serving the food, and taking away the dirty dishes. Our server was great by herself.
Definitely a spot you should consider taking a look at.
We had a party of 7 and when we sat down we were told we had to order the family style meals at $45/$55. Tbh if we were told this when we made the reservation we would have chosen somewhere else. I'm sure the meals were great but with one person picking up the bill for 7, and having everyone agree on what to eat together, that was more costly then we were looking for. After a talk with the manager we did find that they would allow us to order off the...
