Press 195 — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

We were seated immediately but the server didn’t come to us for another 5 minutes. Took the order in a rush didn’t have much of a welcoming personality and seemed overwhelmed. What we ordered we didn’t get but because it took forever in the first place to give the order we just dealt with it and accepted it. The guy who brought out the food forgot to check there were no plates or utensils so we had to ask someone else passing by to at least give us plates. Server passed by once asked if everything was good sure all is well don’t care at this point to even complain about it. I will never understand why dine in spots have news channels on! Do I need to be constantly reminded of how many wars are going on? Took away 3 stars for just news channels broadcasting on all TV’s. While they had music playing! 2 stars for atmosphere because it wasn’t over packed or extremely loud guests so we were able to at least have a conversation. I had to post details of the experience because the owner asked for it… food tasted frozen out of commercial freezer and no flavor almost no seasoning. I wanted to just post stars warned without going in details hoping it doesn’t draw customers away from them but maybe I am doing everyone a small favor now. For an entertaining experience with delicious food maybe this isn’t my cup of tea. A few people were at the bar, they were a bit too loud for the timing of the day and drinking away like it’s Friday night so very confusing as to what kind of a place is this. Press 195 does it again at a new location. The ambiance of this place is very nice and the bar area is very welcoming with a fine selection of beer and cocktails. As usual, the food is quite good. I was adventurous and tried the special chicken sandwich with white sauce which was excellent. My compliments to the chef for his creative sandwiches. Their salads are quite good and, of course their fries can’t be beat. I love their knish sandwiches and the brisket sandwich is one of my favorites. The service was very good and our waitress was quite attentive. They have a nice party room that can seat around 50 people. Having been to a party at their Rockville Centre location I can attest to the many compliments from all of the party goers. Parking is a breeze with the large lot in front of the restaurant. I had the pleasure of going to the Grand Opening of Press 195, the atmosphere is very welcoming bringing a Modern meets traditional vibe to this location. The Burgers are amazing and huge! And the menu is filled with a spectrum of choices that makes it difficult to decide what to eat. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Breast with Onion Rings, jalapeños, with Chipotle sauce, in house fries came with it and Chris didn't disappoint at all. It was delicious. When you stop in a Must Have is the meatloaf stuffed Knish, once you try it you’ll understand.
