Used to buy their 50%-off cards all the time but I won't be coming back. Bought some cards last week, asked for the receipt and saw they charged full price for some of them. I asked why and they said 'not all cards are 50% off' - meanwhile they always were. They pointed me to a sign inside on the ceiling that said 50% off all cards of a certain brand. Meanwhile they have another sign right on their front window saying '50% off greeting cards', no mention of a particular brand. If you look at their store photos on Google, that red sign is right there in plain sight. Don't post conflicting signs and then decide which one you want to honor.
Update to the owner's response. You may have me mixed up with someone else. You never asked me to bring the receipt back to correct an error on it if one was there. In fact you didnt give me a receipt until i asked for one. And I never threatened you while i was at your store, i'd never do that. I simply walked out. And you do have two signs on your window: one that says 50% off designer cards, and another in Red that says "50% off greeting cards". The Red sign says nothing about designer cards so your advertising is...

When I went to buy a Valentine card, the area was crowded, with three customer maskless. I left the store. Today I notified the owner of their lack of safety protocol. He apologized and said he cannot monitor every customer that comes in, especially when the store is busy. WRONG. COVID is deadly. Variants are more contagious.
