Lewin Farms — Attraction in Town of Riverhead

Well, well, well what can I say when paired with this amazing scenery and the escape from reality of such a stressful job I have no choice but to leave this good review, especially because my life is holding me at ransom this is the only place where I finally feel at peace and I feel at an escape. This is my go to place even if I am alone I will still go here just so I could read my little novels and sit down near the pumpkin patch. This is my place. I love this place. I will stand by this place. I will ride or die in this place hey ride in this place I will eat corn at this place specifically the corn that it’s a crispy with the butter that that stuff is amazing. If you’re asking someone who’s been here many times I can highly recommend during the autumn seasons to go because that’s the best way to go if there was a way to go that’s the way to go that is the way to go. I can’t imagine any other way and I bet you guys can’t imagine any other way either because this is the place, it makes me sad to see all these other sad reviews because I personally enjoyed my time here and I hope to all the new people that you guys will enjoy your time here too because I wish that I could tell you the truth I’ve been here 1 million times I stopped painting excuse is red, even if I trapped in this place winding right in front of the eyes I heard their voice, but I missed them in time. It was to the point where I took a pretending that I was a savior so I learned to carry all of it on my own and you know what I feel like that’s what we’re all missing today is that we all have the power to carry everything by ourselves we don’t need someone to help us carry our struggles in life we can carry and we will carry we will do what we must to succeed in the way we must. I feel like everyone has a purpose in life and this is my purpose because I’m good reviews to companies that need it especially when all they ever do is make you happy because I feel like spreading joy is the best way to spread encouragement and I feel like this business establishment deserves that they have done a spectacular job that everything they do and I wish to spread my kindness just like how they spread it to you as an infection that’s spreading wildly. The apple picking was a complete bust. We went to the Farmers Market first to get any updates on the apple picking which is just a mile down the road. I had an inkling from one other passerby saying there were no apples at the farm. However, the sign in the front of the store just said to go down the road and make a right. No notification that there were no apples to pick. We decided to go down the road to check it out for ourselves. I was hoping that they would have opened another apple grove. When we got there, cars were jam packed on the road, waiting for spots, people walking up and down the road to their cars. Most did not have apples, though some had a couple bagfuls. When we got to the front gate, there was a staff member notifying all visitors that the apples were slim pickings. We decided to check it out for ourselves, and not an apple in sight except for the one's on the ground and some rotten one's still hanging from the tree. Making the trek all the way out to Long Island to go apple picking near the end of September, and before noon. Not a reasonable apple to pick. Every single person that passed by was complaining about there being no apples and most walked out empty handed. I guess you'll have to come earlier in the season, but we would have figured apples to still be available near the end of September or for them to at least close the gates and put a sign up. Despite that, apples picked from the farm were $1.50 / lb. The Lewin Farms market were selling a larger variety of unbruised apples for $1.69 / lb. It definitely takes the fun out of apple picking for the kids, but at least we could get our fair share of a larger variety of apples from...

We had an amazing family outing to Lewin Farm in Calverton, NY, located in beautiful Suffolk County. Our day was filled with excitement and delicious treats! We started by picking fresh apples and raspberries, and then indulged in locally grown corn on the cob with butter and tasty seasonings, baked potatoes, and mouthwatering peach ice cream made from locally grown peaches.

Before heading to the farm, we took a detour to explore the new community development in Yaphank. But as per our annual tradition, we ended up at Lewin Farm, and it was totally worth it! While the fresh farm produce can be a bit pricey, list of item shopping from Vegetables stand was Lewin Brand locally grown potatoes bags 8 lb , peach flavor ice cream, Apple cedar Donuts, seasoning jar & onion , cilantros,, but total paid was $47 and paid outside retail Food corn and back potatoes was separate $22 , the experience and quality make it well worth the cost. The farm is only open seasonally from August to November, so be sure to plan your visit accordingly.

The best part of our visit was spending quality time together as a family, surrounded by fresh vegetables and the beautiful farm scenery. The farm was bustling with visitors and shoppers, and many people were enjoying the recreational area behind the vegetable stands.
