Bellissimo Pizzeria & Pasta — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

Came here with my mom & stepdad for lunch. The young teen at the counter taking our order was not paying attention and we kept having to repeat our order. Then, he proceeded to walk over to his friends eating and was chit chatting with them while a line was forming and people were waiting to get the order taken. My mom ordered a beer for my stepdad and a worker who came in was asked if he could grab the beer. He turned around and snapped at my mom telling her to wait a minute he has to wash his hands. Very rude. My mother had only asked because the young teen took her order and she never received the beer. There was only one nice worker who is either the owner or the cook but he’s the only competent/ nice employee there. I highly recommend that they hire people with quality customer service etiquette/ people skills. If you want to go to a great pizzeria this is not it. Go to Margherita Pizzeria in Medford or anywhere else. Truly...

UPDATE: NO RESPONSE FROM BUSINESS

Only pay with cash!!! I’m so sick and tired of the screen flip around for a tip. We used to tip for exceptional service. I order 2 slices of pizza, guy moves them from the counter to the oven. Stands there on his phone for 3 minutes hands me the pizza and rings me up. Next thing I know he says “Watch the screen for next options” and it’s to tip him for service.

What exactly is this business asking to be tipped for? Warming up pizza and ignoring the customer to be on the phone? Do the employees not get paid enough hourly? Why does this business feel the need to request a tip for service that was mediocre and literally all he did was his basic minimum wage skilled job. So sick and tired of the screen flip around!!! Enough! Only pay with cash to avoid the awkward tip request for doing not a damn thing...

So extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. I come from Florida keys and always enjoy a truffle pizza. I also ordered some Calamari as well. I wish I took a picture of the calamari it came in a foil pan and you could actually see the bottom of pan and the only thing in there were tentacle scraps! Should have looked before I left restaurant (but I want to trust it will be plentiful and delish and they will do the right thing!) Pizza was soo disappointing as well. :( wanted to call immediately my mom wouldn’t even eat it after looking at it. They never cooked down the arugula and no one could taste truffle oil. I was very mad. Total waste of my $$$$. Never go back again! Wound up throwing 5 slices in the garbage along with half of the quarter...
