Yesterday I went into the store at around 7pm to buy an ice cream cake that was in the freezer case. I picked up the undisclosed type of cake and was taking a chance it was the generic vanilla and chocolate, which it was and very little crunches in middle. I took the cake in the box to the one and only employee working and asked him to write happy birthday Mom on the cake. I was told it's a special order and the person that writes on the cakes is not in today. I stated then why have the cakes in the freezer buy if this is a real ice cream shop. I was told they keep ice cream cakes in the freezer so "people then know we sell ice cream cakes" I really think that is the most rediculous thing I have heard. Why dont you then just put a sign saying we sell overpriced $43 ice cream cakes. I bought the cake cause I didn't want to loose more time and go to King Kullen. Went there yesterday (8/14) after the car show, and nothing has changed in the quality of the product. I ordered strawberry cheesecake ice cream and the flavor was very chemical fake like that I threw the small cup I ordered. Hubby got rocky road and he didn’t like it either. Very disappointing to be honest and also price went up by a lot. Used to be a 5 stars place, but now I’m giving it two stars. New management has taken over that now says it serve “premium” ice cream and that before used to be regular ice cream ( don’t know what they mean with that), but honestly don’t feel anything premium about them. Well, we had fab again bowls and bobba this Saturday ( June 8th) with folks serving pretty nicely. Was 4*for sure. We returned next day morning for our seconds and it was a disaster on all counts. They were out of acai and bobba as well. We asked for bacon and cheese sandwich and we got egg and cheese instead. And the 30 sec heating was still a cold sandwich for us. Plus it tasted stale. Adventure continues when we tried paying by cash given it was printed in bold that 4% discount is given with cash payment. Guess what they did not accept and neither made and effort to give that with digital payment. Final straw was wrong billing itself which had to be corrected. Wow!! Must be Murphys law acting up.
