Kind of niche recreation so I would say the entry price of $10 per person 3 or older is fair. If your kid bolts from scene to scene it will feel very short and underwhelming. However if you observe as much as you can and take in each scene mindfully and talk about it a bit one run through can last 10-15 minutes. We went through 3x in about 25 minutes and it was a hit with the kids.
I did see someone else mentioned boring backgrounds; it seems the owner has taken this advice and provided backdrops and lighting which I thought added to the experience and submersion.
One suggestion I would give the owner is I noticed several children alarmed at first entry. This is likely because if you were 1/3 your size, the snapping and cackling dinosaurs are right by your face the second you enter. It takes kids by surprise in an already suspicious mind set before they begin. I would urge you to replace the second very calm dinosaur and scene with the first one, simultaneously offering a welcoming feeling and allowing children to see the more “scary” dinosaurs from a distance and approach at their comfort level.

Read moreMy son and I enjoy this place , we keep returning for more visits. The staff is extremely friendly which definitely makes it enjoyable. The prices aren't bad either but I don't think they advertise enough for people to realize that a Dinosaur Museum is in New York State!! That's a truly exciting thing as Dinosaurs are very popular and always have been . I would like to see them have activies that could be educational for the kids and help raise them some money to expand the exhibit a bit / help pay for repairs on some of the Dinosaurs. Maybe a donation jar would help also because it's sad seeing some of the dinosaurs broken . I also think if they added a few more dinosaurs such as a dilophosaurus and a pachycephalosaurus and add sound to the pterodactyl and maybe slight movement it would definitely make the exhibit even more exciting. I have recommended it to a few of my fellow parents on...
Read moreI think the concept is there but it was poorly executed. There could be more in each display. The walls are all black and not very interesting. They could try to put dinosaur foot prints on the floor. Lighting, screens and other prehistoric animals could be used to enhance the experience. Using plants and maybe a few living examples of how dinosaurs adapted. More educational pieces for kids to see(ie.. your foot next to a dinosaur foot; measure how tall a you are next to different dinosaurs). Exposed bathrooms also was a bit off putting. All in all I think it could be much better. Hopefully over time they amp up the display and make it worth the...
