Pink Elephant — Attraction in Town of Vienna

Stop to get gas and say hi to Pinkie at the same time!

The day before I left for Wisconsin, I was looking at the route that GPS would take me to see if there were any cool stops along the way. I saw something called Pink Elephant and immediately thought of the Pink Elephant Antique Mall. Once I clicked on it and saw it was a giant pink elephant outside a gas station, I knew I would have to make a pitstop to see Pinkie!

Apparently, Pinkie has been around since the mid-1960s and was a way for the gas station owner to attract people to his gas station. Well, here we are in 2025 and it worked! There is a selfie stand next to the information plaque to get your photo with Pinkie. I was flying solo for the drive up to Wisconsin so this was extremely helpful.

The Shell gas station where this is at has: stickers, magnets, postcards, and apparel for Pinkie. Of course, I got a sticker, a postcard, and a magnet for my collection. Overall, a pretty neat stop to get gas and say hi to Pinkie. I highly recommend stopping if you are passing through for a bit of fun.

Its a ghetto foreign owned trash can gas station. Cool pink elephant in the parking lot though. Worst selection of everything in the store, very loud indian music on, could barely understand the very rude and unfriendly man at counter. No good afternoon or small talk at all. Awful, bathrooms were both gross and unusable due to uncontained feces. We left and sanitized. Counter help was grossed out and complained repeatedly about having to go clean it and never checked the situation while we were there. She did say sorry and offer us to go to another of thier locations near by, as she wandered in and out of a cleaning closet, stating she again she was not looking forward to fixing the issues.
