Read moreFantastic gem of a park. Picnic tables, public bathrooms, easy hiking trails with great views of the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers. Kayak launch. There is a pavilion with BBQ that can be booked. There are high cliffs with steep drops along the "Perimeter Trail" without rails or fences, so I would keep the toddlers very close, or off the trail. That said the cliffs do offer great views where you can peer down into the Mohawk and see large fish ambling about in the water. The park includes a few earthen works from the Revolutionary War and is home to a former "bleachery," now home of the New York State Historic Preservation Office.
