Bought a new Bosch 300 series front loader washing machine from Woodruff appliance. On day one, the unit continued to drip water into the tub after the machine was turned off. It also vibrates terribly to the point where any items[ detergent,etc..] placed on top of the machine would vibrate off. I called Woodruff Appliance and was told that they would need to order a new valve as that was likely the cause of the leak. Waited over 5 weeks for the part to come in. This was after numerous calls to them inquiring as to the status. They told me the part was sent to the wrong place and they went to get it. Repair guy shows up and takes unit apart only to tell me that they sent the wrong part. Also tells me that the machine vibrates because it's on carpeting even though they replaced the washer with the exact one that worked fine for 16 years with no vibration. If the installer felt it couldnāt be balanced on carpeting, then he should have mentioned this prior to installing it. I need to mention that the installer made no effort to balance the machine even though itās visibly higher on one side. The machine has legs on the bottom that need to be adjusted but they show no desire to do this. I eventually call the owner, Ray, and voice my displeasure to him. Where else do you buy a $1100 item that doesn't work right from the start and have to settle for a repair? You simply return the item and get one that does work. Ray stated that they could not do this but gave no good reason why. So now I have a 6 week old washer that leaks and vibrates. Believe me, I am not a complainer and very seldom will post any bad reviews but this one took me over my boiling point. I tried to give business to a local company rather than go to a big box retailer and this is what I get. Lesson learned! I would not recommend Woodruff Appliance to my worst enemy. I guess it truly is buyer beware.
P.S I should mention that I also called Bosch customer service and was told it was up to Woodruff Appliance as to whether they wanted to replace the machine. They also said that the Woodruff Appliance installer definitely should have balanced the machine legs and tested it for vibration prior to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLate last year (I think in Fall 2023), we ordered a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stove, washer, and dryer from Woodruff Appliance for our new build home. Our house was completed in February 2024, and our appliances were delivered and installed a few days before our closing. At first, not all of our appliances were delivered on the same day - for example, only our dryer was delivered and another delivery had to be scheduled for the washer to arrive. The second issue we had was with the overall delivery experience - it had snowed the night before, but our builder had a cardboard pathway laid to protect the wood floors leading right to the delivery locations. However, we happened to stop by the house after delivery to check out the appliances and noticed there was water from melted snow and muddy footprints all over the wood floors, which we had to wipe up with paper towels. The third disappointment was noticing two dents in our fridge that happened during delivery/install. There wasnāt any communication to us about this happening - we noticed it and we had to call the store to let them know. At this point, we were told the store had ordered new parts and would deliver and replace them as soon as they arrived. We had heard crickets from the store since making this call, aside from my husband calling them every few weeks to get a status update of the replacement parts. In total, he made about 3-4 calls to the store and each time, he was told by a staff member the parts had been ordered and we would be notified as soon as they arrived. My husband just called today for yet another status update and was finally told that the parts had not been ordered, even though he was told they had been several times. We were promised that the parts were ordered today and should arrive within a few weeks. Iām really grateful for an excellent sales experience on the floor/at ordering and for the gentleman who helped my husband today. However, the delivery/replacement process has been a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen my wife and I built our house in Woodruff, we decided to purchase all our appliances from Woodruff appliance. They were all GE profile and Monogram series. Over the years weāve had to replace the washer and dryer and service the refrigerator. Our refrigerator stopped working recently and we called for service, A repair person responded, spent 15-20 minutes taking apart the freezer from the front, couldnāt reach what he wanted to and finally pulled the fridge out to get at the back, Running NO diagnostic tests, he proclaimed the fridge was toast because the compressor was hot. I wondered how hot it was because he was able to keep his hand on it. Due to the age of the fridge, 17 years, we decided to get a new one. Went back to Woodruff appliance and a week later, a new fridge was delivered. Once it was unpacked, my wife noticed a dent on the back corner, she took pictures and was told she could get a reduction in price. The new fridge was installed and low and behold, the ice maker/water dispenser is making a grinding noise with no ice or water coming out. Went back to Woodruff appliance and talked to someone who said they were 2nd in charge and could help. This person was not helpful as far as I was concerned, I was given a slight credit and cancellation of the service fee, I did not feel that I was treated properly, I certainly hope they donāt send the same service person back, I might end up with the fridge taken apart and told I need a new one. If I ever need to buy another appliance, I think I might just...
