Artworks — Attraction in Trenton

A long overdue review as I've been visiting this gallery/art center for a while, even taken a few of the weekend classes here and there over the years. I'm learning that some of the top emerging artists in New Jersey can be found right here in Trenton at Artworks! Their Art All Night and Art All Day events are community centered (great for my kids and teens), and the curators/staff who run the gallery really know the local art scene. We visited for the first time to see sculpture by Clifford Ward. The space was terrific to showcase his dynamic work. The opening was jammed with art lovers, but didn't feel stifling. High ceilinged and expansive, Artworks appears to be a converted warehouse. In the back, a few artists had open studios, which was a pleasant surprise.
