Discs & Dice — Attraction in Troutdale

I think it was April 2nd, 2024. My family was returning to Washington after a trip to Lincoln City, Oregon and we decided to stop at the Subway that was there at the outlet mall. After we finished out meal, we had enough time to walk around. I've always loved Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering, so when I saw that amazing wall of dice, I couldn't resist. I asked my parents if I could go in (I'm 14, btw) and me and my sister started looking around. Then, I noticed the MTG packs behind the desk and their amazingly low price. I was looking at them, deciding whether I should get them or not, when I noticed that the set booster was more expensive then the draft booster, even though it had more cards. As I was wondering why, an employee came over to me and asked if I had any questions so I asked him why the set booster was worth more then a draft booster and he explained to me how set boosters have 3 rare slots and draft boosters only have 1. I told him how I've always wanted to play a draft game but the draft boxes are too expensive and he offered to check to see if they had any Lord of the Rings draft boxes for me to get. Sadly, they were out of stock. We had a conversation about the collector boosters and about expensive MTG cards. He then proceeded to give me 6 FREE MTG CARDS and I was extremely grateful because they were pretty good cards. I was about to buy some packs but my parents were about to leave so I couldn't. SUPPORT THESE GUYS!!!! Travis was incredibly friendly, we were really impressed with his level of knowledge and his ability to explain Flesh and Blood TCG to my wife who has never played a TCG before. He had me sold right away on what so far has been an amazing experience, and explained the game to me so well that I immediately knew how to play when I got home. They even hooked us up with some starter cards to get us playing. I was so impressed I went ahead and bought two extra sets for us so we could dive in right away. The store was very clean, well laid out, and the staff incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and generous. If you don't even like what they offer, just go in to meet some local business owners who very obviously care about their community, customers, and business as a whole. Not to mention pricing was great for a small business. They will be getting my hard earned money anytime have a TCG or Disc Golf need.
