first time here, the workers are very nice. i asked if i could get a custom burrito & they let me, $8.45. the rice i think needs a little more tomato sauce when theyre cooking it, & when you ask for potatoes they just use unseasoned french fries, would be better if they sliced some fresh potatoes & cooked with a little salt/pepper. they do have an excellent house hot sauce that they just call the "chunky" sauce. the portion is good, i had to force down the last 2 bites. i feel like i got my value.
edit: i came back & got a carne asada burrito, it doesnt come with cheese...& they charge $1.25 for some cheese... i can cope with that, but they used cold shredded low quality cheese. it tasted gross, kinda ruined the burrito for me. i have to take a star off for that. if youre gonna charge extra for cheese, at least use real quality cheese & MELT IT on the burrito, dont put it on cold. you can get a big block of nice cheddar for a bulk discount & grate it yourself in house & actually have good cheese instead of buying a bunch of packs of processed shredded lunchable cheese full of...
Read moreBeen going to Burrito Shoppe for a couple of years now. Place is clean and always find a place to sit. Food tastes great when you eat it there. However I have to finally complain about their take out service. I get take out from here about once a week. The food is always messy and all over the take out box (rice and beans are on top of eac other/ refried beans inside my tacos etc..). As if i had left the container in my trunk and driven on a dirt road home. It's happening over and over. Even when I ask them to individually wrap items. Next time I will pick up my food open the container in front of them and be ready to have them re-do it. Otherwise they lost my business and I will start going to 2 Amigos in...
Read moreThe food here is decent and a fair price. They should address up charging for simple subs. To sub an ingredient, such as swapping out sour cream for avocado sauce. It would seem to me that avocado sauce is more expensive, and should easily be swapped out for sour cream on the cooks line, making it cheaper for the restaurant. They insist on charging you for the action. I also had the same issue with trying to swap Out hamburger instead of steak. They wanted to charge me for that also. Last time I checked, steak is more expensive than hamburger. If they want to charge for the simple action of grabbing one item over the other, I refuse to pay. I don’t care for paying somebody...
