We experienced Magic and Mystery. On a quick stop to eat our lunch, I found these falls by a quick Google Maps suggestion. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the waterfall had a great little trail and we decided to take a jaunt down and see if the pool at the bottom was deep enough to stop again for a swim. The path was winding and a bit steep at points but there were alternatives to the steep parts to take. Anyway, we had noticed a few holes in the path, one even having some leftover Stewart's Ice cream cups and spoons hidden deep within. Tolls maybe??? Well, that is where the tale gets more interesting... Once you make it to the "end of the line" there is what looks like a bread hearth on the bottom side of the retaining wall, that faces a smaller set of falls. Hearth??? Yup, that's what I said. Was someone making bread there? What in Sam hell is that? Anyway, all the questions were finally answered, on our way out to the car. You see, the Magic of the forest spit out a Mushroom Troll, yup, that is what I said kids. My friend hears a soft voice say hidy ho!!! He jumps and says, WTF!!! Hahaha I automatically reply, it's Santa...lol!!! Turns out, it's a Mushroom Troll 🧌 maybe not really a troll, but you 💯 will NOT convince us it wasn't. He was a sweet man whom we believe lives in the woods eating ice cream and making bread. He picks mushrooms and smells his fingers. Oh what a day to find a waterfall. Enjoy...
Read moreThis is a very pretty dam fall. The viewing is done at a steep side wall of the dam and while you can get very close to the waterfall, its difficult to get an unobstructed view. Best viewed just past the attached building at dam side, beyond that you have a tree in every view. The soil is loose and soft and steep so difficult to get down the bank for better viewing. Parking is off the road...small. maybe 5 or 6 cars if parked right but also doesnt appear terribly busy. Very pretty and worth a stop. It would be so nice if a conservancy group could put in a small viewing platform and stairs at...
Read moreI was skeptical about going here because there were no reviews. To my surprise I was happy I went, nice walking trail along the creek with a couple of nice waterfalls. Brought my dog with me. A few other people with dog's on the trail. The only confusing part about it is that the Map's will bring you to a small parking lot on Mill Rd. You can walk down only A short ways on that path, then you have to walk the road to the guardrail. Cross the street where you will see a map and trail head for the narrows. I will definitely be returning in...
