Terrible experience with this dentist. We brought our 7 year old here as it's the only office in our area (15+ miles) that takes my husband's insurance. On the first visit, they took x rays & found a cavity. We came back for the 2nd visit to get the filling. My son and I were left waiting for 30 minutes in their barren waiting area, which did not have a coat rack or even one single magazine. The assistant who took us to the room was very sweet and helpful. Unfortunately, the dentist was completely opposite. From the very first minute we were in with her, she was rude and barking things at my son like "I don't have time to waste" and "if you don't want a filling, why don't you just go home" with absolutely no provocation. My son was sitting in the chair silently! The way we were treated was so far beyond rude. As it was his first filling, understandably my son was a little anxious, but the only thing he did was slightly pull away when she came at him with a drill, with not one word of explanation of what she was doing. We were not even asked if he would like an anesthetic! What kind of dentist does not even offer to numb the tooth? This woman had a short fuse before even walking in the room. It was clear she absolutely did not want to do my son's filling. Without even giving him a chance, she booted us out of her office and gave us a referral because in her words "we're not qualified to deal with this here". I've never experienced anything so completely unprofessional in my entire life. We wasted 2 hours of our day, leaving work and school early, as the office is not very close to our home. We will never,...
Read moreI'd give 0 if I could because how can I rate a dentist when I'm not even allowed to see them?? Anyone who has ever been to a doctor/dentist knows that you have your appointment time, which if you don't make it within 5-15 min depending on the office they cancel. Well for the first time in my life (and I have dealt wth many, many doctors between my elderly parents and my kids) I was told to leave for not being there early........yup you read correctly. You know how they request that you come early for paperwork, pretty much EVERYWHERE, and they suggest 15-30 min early (even though the paperwork only ever takes maybe 5 min)? Well apparently this receptionist believed that me not coming 15 min before my appointment was grounds to tell me to hit the road. Forget that I was in fact 7 min early to my appointment and spent 5 of it waiting to be seen (i could have easily finished paperwork in that time). If you expect someone to be there early than their SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME then you should schedule them for that time not request they come earlier for paperwork then boot them. I have NEVER encountered this and doubt that anyone ever has. So rude, so unprofessional, and unheard of!!! But i have crappy dental plex through cdphp medicaid so they are the only ones that I can even go to. So I guess I don't deserve...
Read moreHudson Valley Plaza? Price choppers visit and fresh fried Swai was perfect as well as stuffed peppers with sushi too. Cleaneless of store was terrific and flowers selection too. Hudson Valley Plaza Dental? Not sure of professional skills of office, facility #046552 from AARP, Delta Dental Network but receptionist skills, professional ethics for sure are very poor as well as police officers who I called professional skills as well as people skills are very very poor and racial, yes, indeed. As new patient and consumer who has rights being insulted in very defensive way by receptionist, advise, dear Dentist, be more selective about hiring people as well as Troy PD as well. I accept your apology, Dentist which you sent through my husband and I feel sorry you lost 3 patients last week because of the same person and her behavior. P.S. Dear, young lady, receptionist at Hudson Valley Plaza Dental, never threat your patients and do not hesitate to have multicultural health training and make sure back up your policy aka police with all you have done...
