I hired Tahoe Modern in October to help me design and furnish a new home in time for the Thanksgiving holidays, in the midst of a pandemic, and at a time when furniture delivery was taking 2-3 months longer than usual. Easy Peasy.

If you stop reading now, the only thing you need to know is that Megan (the owner of Tahoe Modern) and the whole Tahoe Modern team is amazing and dedicated to getting it right!!!

Firstly, Megan is a truly gifted and talented designer. Her ability to visualize a space, mix and match pieces/patterns/colors, and give a room a personality is outstanding. She knows her furniture -- how it looks, how it feels, is it well made, is it comfortable. This was so incredibly helpful as I am THAT person who normally wants to touch, sit on, squeeze, and rub my face on everything before I buy it.

Secondly, Megan is everything you want in a Project Manager -- organized, detailed, responsive, accountable, a prompt communicator, and ALWAYS on-top-of everything. When things would go wrong (because things will go wrong when you are trying to get 100+ pieces of furniture and accessories selected, delivered, assembled, and staged in a house), Megan and her awesome team would figure out workarounds, find alternatives, or just do whatever was needed to fix the problem. There were so many logistics issues that I had never considered (like how do you get a fully loaded furniture delivery truck up a big hill in winter when your street is covered in snow and ice?), so it was a relief to know that I had a trusted team of people to take care of those issues for me.

Finally, Megan and Tahoe Modern really delivered on their aesthetic promise of a modern Tahoe home. I wanted furniture and furnishings that made you feel easy and comfortable as soon as you walked in. I wanted simple and beautiful but also so inviting that you would never hesitate to put your feet up and take a nap on the couch. I got what I wanted and more. Megan understood everything I needed (hurray!), listened to everything I wanted (awesome!!!), and then somehow also delivered everything I thought I couldn’t have until way in the future when my kids were grown up and no longer playing with kinetic sand in the middle of the living room (what? how? but really, how?!!).

When the final product was put together and I walked into the house for the first time, my eyes welled up and I could not believe how perfect it turned out. Tahoe Modern truly transformed my HOUSE into a HOME and I will be...

From the initial consultation to the final touches, Megan and her team at Tahoe Modern demonstrated an exceptional level of expertise and attention to detail. Using Tahoe Modern to furnish our new home and help with our renovation designs was the best decision we ever made!

Tahoe modern is the joy of coming home one day to find our empty house turned into our perfect home literally overnight! From renovation design decisions to furniture and artwork they helped us create our dream home - uniquely us but way more stylish than we could have made it on our own! A process that would have stressed me out was easy and fun with Tahoe Modern. Megan and the team is so organized and on top of every detail so you don’t have to be. Also, somehow, it cost about the same as if we’d ordered the furniture ourselves and they did all of the work and took care of all of the logistics! (I ordered a few pieces myself and immediately regretted it when I realized how much trash I had to deal with, not to mention constantly changing delivery dates.)

We couldn’t have done the renovation without them either - they pointed us in the right direction on tough design decisions and made sure we got the overall look right! Their suggestions helped us totally reimagine the space to get the kitchen and living room of our dreams!
