This place is most definitely over-hyped. I think people see “Food Network” on there and go with the mindset that everything will, must, and does taste good because it was on Food Network, but the breakfast was absolutely horrible. I was super bummed because I was really excited. Before I get into it, I would like to say that the staff is friendly. So there’s that.
We ordered the popular items. Says “best omelette you’ve ever had or it’s free”, but you know when you make overcooked scrambled eggs and it’s rubbery? Imagine that for the omelette. The potatoes were dry and the avocado was rancid. Even the French toast that looked good was horrible. I’m not sure how you can mess up French toast but it was so bad that we couldn’t continue eating it. The hot chocolate is nothing but a watered down packet of store bought hot chocolate powder. We were so hungry that we shared and ate the omelette since it was the only semi decent thing to eat. But I didn’t want to pay $40 for basically just eating an omelette so I told our waiter about the food and asked if he could take the French toast off. We didn’t even drink the hot chocolate and all we asked was for the French toast to be taken off and he told us no because we had eaten some of it. We ate one and a half slices…Should’ve gotten the omelette free in that case but we didn’t. He gave us $6 off. So we basically paid $32 plus tip for a horrible omelette and on top of that even left hungry. We had to drive around somewhere after to find...
Read moreAh, the popular Squeeze In located in Truckee, California. I had heard so many good things about this place, so I knew I had to check it out since I was visiting the Reno-Tahoe area on vacation. Since it was about a half-hour west of Reno, I decided to make the trek to see what the buzz is all about. I arrived a few minutes before noon on a Tuesday in early May. I was surprised that there was no wait, since I had read many reviews that there was usually a crazy wait. Nonetheless, I got seated immediately. I ordered the popular "Racy Tracy" omelette. In my opinion, it was good... but I wouldn't say it was excellent. The portions were certainly enough, but I can't quite put my finger on why it wasn't fully satisfying. I'm hoping it was a little bit of an "off" day for them in the kitchen. Not to say that the food was bad, but there were certainly high expectations based on the rave reviews and reputation of Squeeze In. Food aside, I have to say that the service is excellent. I was checked up on often, and everyone working here was so friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I would give Squeeze In another try. I'm thinking of also trying some of their other locations as well (I'm told they have a few locations in Reno) the next time I travel to the area. Overall, 4 stars when balancing OK food and...

This place is an absolute gem! Squeeze In is one of the most fun and unique brunch experiences I’ve had. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with an explosion of character — graffiti-covered walls, quirky art, alien cutouts, stickers, and dollar bills signed by past visitors. It’s the kind of place where every inch tells a story.
The tables are just as eclectic, decorated with everything from family photos to checkerboard patterns, making each dining spot feel one-of-a-kind. The atmosphere is vibrant, casual, and a little chaotic in the best possible way — it feels like part diner, part art project, part time capsule.
Service was friendly and laid-back, perfectly matching the vibe. The menu is huge and creative, with tons of options for both traditional brunch lovers and those looking for something adventurous. The cocktail and mimosa selections looked especially fun.
This isn’t your cookie-cutter brunch place — it’s a destination full of personality where you can relax, laugh, and enjoy a hearty meal. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Squeeze In is absolutely...
