I chose Chuze because out of all the gyms I went to visit to get a membership, Chuze made sure I looked at other gyms first, had a tour, and was absolutely sure about my decision to get a membership here. In no way, had I ever felt pressured to join or ever received obnoxious phone calls about memberships. Of course, each location is different but I LOVE the 22nd location. The staff loves my child, learned my name, and always helpful when I need help. I actually become a little sad when people leave or transfer from the staff because theyāre all so nice and memorable.
I have my 1.5 year old enrolled in the kids club and he LOVES it. Before you decided to sign up, know that it is NOT a real daycare. They arenāt allowed to change diapers and if a child is truly inconsolable and making other kids uncomfortable, they will come get you. Besides that, itās very clean, very welcoming, and has things to do for each age group. They have xbox consoles and movies for older kids, toy kitchens and whatnot for toddlers, and even have a gated area for smaller babies and a nice chair if your child needs to be breast fed. I saw a few negative reviews on the staff not being friendly but Iāve never had any bad experiences nor my friend who also had her child at the daycare. Actually, they helped my baby feel comfortable in a group setting again.
The gym is super clean, everyone I had met, staff and non staff, were friendly, and such a good gym experience over all. I used to be TERRIFIED of the free weight area but everyone there is incredibly willing to help you out. If you have any issues at all, Chuze will make sure itās resolved. Husband did cancel his memeberxhip since I have premium but canāt sign in as a guest on their tablets so he just gives them his number and heās good to go! Anyways, now iām Rambling. I highly encourage you to get a free week or day pass so you can try it out first and get a feel for the gym. Itās a great gym but what may be perfect for me may not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really do enjoy coming to this gym. The staff are always upbeat, friendly, and professional. The quality of equipment is wonderful and they take pride in keeping the gym very neat and clean. I love the circuit training area as well. It is not as big as the other Chuze Fitness locations, but it has everything most people will need to get a great workout in.
Edit: I really want to highlight how hospitable and wonderful the people that work there are. They are TOP NOTCH! Everyday that I have come in I've gotten a "good morning/evening...how are you today?....enjoy your workout!" and as I leave I get a "be safe and have a good day." I also want to identify Kooky and Jim as THE cream of the crop I've encountered there.
I was foolish enough to leave my gym bag out on the bench in the male locker room as I forgot to put it in the locker before I began my workout. One of the workers came and got me while I was working out and told me that I left my gym bag out on the bench and that they didn't want my things to be taken. They noticed that was my gym bag because they see me with it every single time I come in the gym. ATTENTION TO DETAIL!
Another time one of the benches was hard to adjust because whomever uses it keeps cross threading the knob which makes it near impossible to turn to adjust. They noticed I was struggling to adjust the bench and did all they could to help me. It wouldn't turn so they immediately got the gentlemen that services the equipment to help me. After they helped, he asked if I needed anything else with a smile and apologized for the inconvenience even though he didn't have to. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what genuine kindness and hospitality is. Every person that works there smiles and greets/treats people with respect. I've been to other gyms before and the workers here are, by far, the best I have encountered at any gym...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been coming here a few months and so far I think it's the best thing I've done for myself in years. Elizabeth's Zumba class is so friendly and welcoming that I actually hate missing any of them. I have a knee injury, so I make my own modifications and just keep moving, and no one judges. I've lost 12 lbs so far, and don't get winded going up a flight of stairs anymore. I do minimal weight lifting but the equipment is clean and there's always something I can use, though there are limited free weight sets.
My son is special needs and after a trial run, he seemed to take to the staff in the kid's club fairly well. As with any area full of small children, you do have to remember to use hand sanitizer after every visit (which they have at the counter), as he's picked up a bug there even though the toys look decent. Overall though, the staff has really been amazing with him and even tell me all about behavioral breakthroughs he occasionally has.
For my money, we couldn't have found a better, more caring staff. The people who are complaining about the contracts have no excuse. They explain everything before you sign like 3 times and offer alternatives if you're unsure. I paid 10 dollars for a 1 time trial run for the kids club to make sure before committing to a monthly fee, and I could have done that more than once if it hadn't gone well. Ask questions and read before you sign...
