The Davis-Monthan AFB Visitor Center crew deserves a round of applause (and maybe a coffee or two)! They keep things running smoothly, even on busy mornings when the line looks like a roll call lineup. Everyone I interacted with was polite, professional, and super helpful—especially when you’re navigating base access rules for the first time.
Heads up if you're visiting: 🚗 Bring your vehicle registration and proof of insurance—yes, they do check. 🪪 Your driver’s license needs the little gold star (the REAL ID travel star). If yours doesn’t have it, don’t wait—get it updated before showing up. Trust me, it’ll save you time and headaches. 🕒 Also, give yourself a little cushion on time. They're efficient, but if it's your first visit, you’ll want that extra 10-15 minutes just in case.
The building is easy to find, well-marked, and there’s usually someone right there to point you in the right direction. Whether you're a contractor, guest, or just coming in for a one-day visit, they make sure you're taken care of without the stress.
Overall, an A+ experience from a team that knows how to keep the front gate running like a well-oiled machine—with a smile. Thanks for the...

Use the door at the other end, poor lights inside what's this all about. Do not use roping everywhere, How about close the windows and remove roping very unprofessional. One person working, I'm not sure as a law enforcement person. The military has really changed in not some good ways. My son is 5'5 250 lbs, and he is a large person. This person had to come out to fix the camera shorter by at least a couple of inches. My son said to me that when he went back to our car, he is bigger than I am. I didn't want to comment, but I did say the military must not have what they used to call the fat boy program. I always hated those words. Just don't feel DMAFB is putting the best foot forward with someone, so heavy. No, thank you, no. Have a nice day when leaving with forms. It was made up by friendly and professional looking airmen at...
Read moreVisitors center was pretty much empty and not packed when we went so it was good for us! Usually there’s long lines of people waiting to get in but we were lucky. It was fast and quick although we had some technical difficulties. The gate guard on duty was so rude tho, had such snappy attitude and couldn’t even answer questions nicely. Even tho I had my VA card which stated “service connected” they demanded a Dbids card when the paper on the wall says clearly veterans with “service connected” can have access. I recommend asking them to register your VA card so you can have access to the base every time you go. Update as of Dec 2024 if you have a VHIC you can’t sponsor anyone. Saw it while getting a pass for my in-law so if you’re planning to go don’t bother bringing another adult cause you won’t be able to...
