D-M Motel — Hotel in Tucson

This has to be the worst place we have ever had to stay before in our lives. At first we thought that it wouldnt be so bad considering that trhe owners son helped us get into a room earlier then check out and made it seem that outside of the first apperance of this place that we would have a decent stay, but we werevery wrong! the rooms were gross, there are only enough linen and towels for the housekeeper to have to wash each rooms linens daily to be able to have any any at all! The man at the front desk who seemed helpful at first let us know that the man who had been staying in our room for the entire week before our arrival only slept on one side of the bed so the room shouldn't be to dirty mind you I had offered to clean up my own room so that we were able to enter the room early but for someone to suggest that we keep the same linen as the person previous to us is something I would have never expected to hear out of someones mouth! l During our second night stay we were dropped off by a friend who we were out with for dinner and before us even getting to put the key in the door to open it the owners dughter (girlfriend or whoever) came running down the sidewak yelling about there being anyone on the property at all! This was at around 1130 at night while others were probably sleeping. We let her know that she was simply walking us to a our room at which time the woman demanded that we all show our identification cards! Our last nighjt we were undecided wether we were going to stay another night in tucson or not and when we decided to stay one more night the owner then stated that we werent able to rent a room for another night. He had no reason when telling us why he wasnt going to be able to rent again. We caused no problems, had no visitors, and were beyond respectful. The D-M Motel is a cheap and easy fix to saving money when you need a room for the low. They are a nightly or weekly (matter of fact stay as long as you need to as long as you paying the price for the room. Usually just $60-$80 in cash a night. All rooms come equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerators, Tables &chairs, Smart Tv's, Dressers, Nightstands, & Bed/Beds. All rooms have a vanity section just before the bathroom. The bathroom as a deep tub and shower and toilet. They offer you two bathing towels, two wash clothes, and two of those mid-size twos. They provide you with the convivence of a washer & Dryer on-site. The Housekeeper lives on site so any problems you will get assistance any times (Day or Night)! Plus, they have tiny rooms available for little people. NOW UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU ARE LOOKING LUXURY THEN DM IS NOT THAT.... IT IS A CHEAPER WAY TO STAY. NO RESORT FEE, JUST PRICE FOR THE ROOM! PERIOD... THERE IS NO POOL ( IF YOUWANTTO SWIM FREEDOM PARK POOL 0.5 MILES UP29TH STREET IS WHERE YOU'LL BE THEY HAVE A SLIDE AND OLYMPIC SIZE POOL ANYWAYS), THERE IS NO ICE MACHINE (BUT YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY CONVIENT STORE AND FOOD PLACES ANYWAYS), THERE IS NO SECURITY (MIND YOUR OWN YO LIVE LONG POLICY FEEL), NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG IF YOU CHOOSE TO REQUEST A SMOKING ROOM (DONT DO THAT) THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE THE WORLD VIEWS YOU ( BRING A CAN OF RAID AND A FEW TINY MOTELS..) SO DONT REQUEST THOSE ROOMS AND YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHY I MADE THAT LAST STATEMENT, STAFF ARE COOL HUSBAND & WIFE, BROTHER & HOUSEKEEPER!!! OVERALL IF YOU NEED TO GO CHEAP THEN YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE REST!!! ENJOY...

I'll start off by saying there are many other places to stay along Craycroft, and I'd find it difficult to believe they're worse off than here. Honestly, the extra few dollars would have been worth it. At the time, I was having personal issues and just needed a roof over my head for a couple of nights. I paid in cash, set my bags down in the room and went for a 30 minute walk. Well, circumstances changed and I found myself needing that money for a Greyhound ticket home. I went back to the counter after getting my things and was greeted with a "Checking out?" by the very same person I just paid for the room. I said yes and apologized. I was then informed that there were no refunds given (shown in humiliation on the paper I signed). I explained my situation and that I hadn't as much as touched anything in the room beyond the lightswitch. I was not rude in any way to this man. Right now? I'm figuring out what I'm supposed to do now in this room I paid for. I have met few people as soulless as the ones running this establishment. Maybe you're not prone to make similar mistakes, but I'd still advise you to find a better place to stay. The lamp doesn't work, and the shower hardly functions. I can't even keep my phone charger in the wall without jamming a chair against it. The rules regarding visitors are bizarre and include police call threats. I expected a little better right next to an air force base. There is just something very wrong with this motel and the people that work here. If you can spare an extra ten dollars down the road to stay somewhere else, I urge you to reconsider...
