One Day Nail Spa — Attraction in Tucson

I have had my fair share of nail salon experiences and to say the least I am always apprehensive to try a new salon. I had started going to One Day Nail Spa about two years ago and found a new place that did a great job. Unfortunately there was a time that they did hurt the bottom of my foot, but I understand accidents happen so I decided to give them another shot. I came in a few times after that incident and felt my service went down. I did mention what had happened and asked for a more gentle approach on my feet. Not sure if that is why the service went down, but this last time was my very last time going here. The owner was very rude to me and basically refused to take care of me, even though I was there for her specifically to take care of me. I know she is very busy and has a large clientele, but the does not excuse how I was treated. When I got to the salon a few minutes before they even opened, I explained that I was there to get a pedicure with Pam. The girl present was very nice and accommodating and sat me to soak right away. A few minutes after opening time, a gentleman came in and said he had an appointment with Pam. Pam was not in yet, so the gentleman said he would come back no problem. A short time later, Pam arrived and the girl that sat me, informed Pam what was going on giving her the gentleman's phone number. Pam started yelling at me saying "no no I have an appointment with someone else", mind you, the guy is gone and I'm soaking. She insisted that someone else do my pedicure. I was embarrassed and shocked. I would have gladly came back had I known she had an appointment at the same time. At this point, I just wanted someone, anyone to just take care of me. I was apprehensive with going with someone else as I have been hurt in the past. Needless to say... I will NOT be going back to this salon. I can barely walk. My weekend of being active is now shot and I will not be able to do anything for a few days. Very...

I went in for the first time just for a pedicure and so that I can do a review on a nail salon by my house. It was clean and they do use the plastic around the foot bath. The tools they use are coming out of plastic so at least they aren’t using used tools like at other places I’ve seen. The weird part is that the lady that was going to do my pedicure freaked out that I wanted a design on my toes. It was such a simple design of a lady bug. She immediately said “no we don’t do that” 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I was like “I get designs like this every time I get a pedicure and your the first person that said no” she kept saying no we don’t do designs. She tried to pon it off on a coworker and he said he can do it for an extra $20. So I said fine. And then she got more weird that I wanted different colors for each toe it was just five colors. She said “extra $5”. So I refused and said I can go somewhere else simply for the principal that she was being WIERD. So I asked her for her name and that’s when she went to the manager. The manager comes by and sees the design on my phone and says “that’s no problem, I can do it”. Pam the manager saved the day. She was great. As to the other lady that didn’t even give me her name after I asked her several times. I don’t know if I’ll go back because of her. Thanks Pam for your great work and for saving the day. I almost walked out if it wasn’t for Pam.

Went back a month later and had Pam pick my design. Everything was clean and she used a lot of tool which were also clean I recommend this place and ask for Pam. After having a horrible experience with my fake nails at Wildcat nail salon, I decided to use yelp to find a place with good reviews and that had the chrome nail powder. Not only does this place have chrome nail powder, but also a wide variety of gel nail polishes and this neat sparkly powder. Anyhow, based on the reviews on yelp I decided to try this place today to get a refill and rose gold chrome color. I made an appointment for 1 and was a little late, and they had no problem with that. Pam did my nails and did an absolutely wonderful and attentive job. She did a great job with the almond shape and was VERY particular about checking them to make sure they were uniform and even. She also made sure to file down the growth from my real nails on the underside because the woman before left then long and it looked absolutely gross. In addition she did a wonderful job with the color. After she finished with my nails, she actually noticed that white a few of them had lumps on them so she filed off the chrome and did them again. She was very attentive and careful and I really am pleased with her, my nails, and my overall experience. When I left I also noticed on one of the nails that there was a little spot without chrome, and she redid that nail with no complaint or issue. My nails are beautiful and Pam is awesome. I have never really had someone so attentive, and anal in a good way, to make sure that the nails were even and the color was good without and bumps. Since I'm new to Tucson, this will definitely be my go to place for fake nails...
