This used to be a lovely park until the police were constantly hanging around this was because one of the neighbors I won't say who Well she got some others on side and lied about goings on in the park that was not really going on
Then me and my husband was approached one day as we parked up the police tried saying we were asking people for money in the park which is absurd
Then another day we had just arrived in the park so that my disabled husband could use the bathroom and as he got back into the car to head off a cop approached and tried saying that someone called them to say that my husband was following and stalking a young girl in the park
I instantly explained that we had just arrived and that it must be mistaken identity The cop was adamant they were right I found this disgusting how the neighbors can tell lies like this
We spent a lot of time here at the memorial because of our losses and we're watching out for the kids that we caught destroying the Rincon little league stuff Then we get treated like criminals well we refuse to come here now Thank you purple heart residents for your lies ❤️ God bless you for...
Read moreThe baseball field side of the park is ok. The tables under the gazebos need some repairs, but the playground and fields are decent. They removed the porta-potties to build bathrooms, but the bathrooms still aren't open months later. The softball field side of the park (off Rita) is rough. The dugouts have no covers, so the kids have no shade during games. There's no seating near the field. There's a water leak next to the sidewalk that creates a big sunken in area where I guarantee someone will get hurt. There are no bathrooms near the field since they removed the porta-potties, so these little kids have to run half way across the park to stand in line for one of the two gross bathrooms shared by the other couple hundred people at the park. The bathrooms that ARE open are gross and broken down.
TLDR: The baseball fields are nice. The playgrounds are alright....
Read moreMy partner and I come here to skate and go on walks every now and then and it is a great place for beginning skating and or exercising by walking your dog or just relaxing and having a picnic at one of the ( I think) 3 tables they have. ( all seating areas are spread out one being at the front of the park and the two being in the corner left and right of the park IF I am remembering correctly. I love it here so much and just wanted to leave a review with some love because I don't want to see this park getting neglected. This is a beautiful city but I am new in town and haven't found a lot of places I thrive and this is one of the places I feel safe and free and love all the...
