BAIT & SWITCH! I spent almost $1,000 for this service. Iâll say it again - I spent almost $1,000 for this service. CRYSTAL - your response includes INACCURATE information. You are a fabulist. At NO TIME during this situation did you offer to provide âanother brand which would similarly workâ for my extensions! Youâre disingenuous. Be truthful, Crystal and do better.
This is an update as well as a response to Crystal Ech. Crystal - itâs unfortunate that you refuse to admit you have been unprofessional and puerile. You really should examine yourself and reflect on how this situation SHOULD have been resolved.
Shannon is wonderful and when she styled and permed my hair I was always thrilled at her talents. The same goes for Colby. Sheâs a great stylist and LISTENS to her clients. You should look to them for pointers and for how they treat their clients. As for your comment that I donât take care of my extensions - you couldnât be more wrong. I only use the products you have recommended on my hair. Finally my hair is WHITE not PLATINUM BLONDE. Take responsibility for your substandard service in this situation and admit you screwed up.
You should get more training; you clearly are not an expert. The weft extensions that Lisa installed in 2022 I was able to wear for almost 2 years. You are unprofessional and I will show EVERYONE my review as well as your unprofessional and arrogant response. Iâve been going to Beauty & Beasts Salon since moving to Tucson in 2021. Until this experience (getting new weft extensions) I was âsomewhatâ satisfied with my experiences & the owner, Crystal Ech (also owner of Pour My Coffee). However, this last experience - which included the $401.25 purchase of a new weft extension and the installation fee of $495.00 - was HORRIBLE!. (I am not new to extensions & began getting them in 2022 with Lisa NĆ©nez - who is no longer there.) I do have to include that Crystal DID remove a bad install of UV Extensions - installed by Lisa - because they were falling out in clumps - (installed on 4/16). So - On May 14th - Crystal removed the remaining extensions and she was wonderful in trying to make it right (after spending $360 + a $50 tip) although I did NOT ask for a refund for this - which I should have done. At the end of the appointment, Crystal showed me a sample of a weft she would use if I decided to try weft extensions again. On June 27th, I asked Crystal to order those extensions for which I paid $401.25.
On July 15th, the owner, Crystal Ech installed a new weft extension - using the IBE method (Invisible Bead Extension) which Crystal said she was able to do. 9 days later in the middle of the night - my husband removed them for me.
I spent a little under $1,000 - including a cash tip - in Beauty & Beasts Salon on July 15th. Crystal was DISHONEST. The extensions Crystal showed me she would order for me had a very thin band. However, the weft she ACTUALLY ordered & installed was COMPLETELY different. Not only was the band thick and bulky but the color DID NOT MATCH MY HAIR! My hair is WHITE. Before she began I told her the color was WRONG - ASH BLONDE NOT WHITE (my natural color since I stopped coloring my hair in 2013). Additionally, the weft she installed using the IBE method looked like I had RIDGES on my head (where the extensions were attached to my hair). The weft I was promised is NOT the weft I was shown. This WAS BAIT-AND-SWITCH. (I am a breast cancer survivor and my hair grew back EXTREMELY thin. Added to that I have a long cowlick starting at the back...
Read moreThe salon is clean and lovely with long white drappy curtains, looped over the rod, and a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging in the entry way. My hair dresser said she could highlight and lowlight my hair, no problem. Previously, I had gone to three other beauty salons, and they said, it could not be done. I had to have several reconstruction appointments first, before they could begin to think about coloring my hair. Crystal is an expert colorist. I had complete confidence in her when she said she could do it, no problem. She did the whole thing in three hours. She had to bleach the purple color out first, then she added three colors to blend naturally, two different shades of brown and blonde then the toner. When I was done, she said you are not going to kiss me, are you? I laughed, and said no, maybe I'd hug you. She was fun, because during the last stage of the rinse process, she told me it was pink in the back. I thought that's okay, I had too much red pigment from burgundy and purple hair in the past, We'll fix the pink the next time. She wouldn't let me look at it until she was done. She turned my chair sideways, as the anticipated hair color design and hair do crescendoed, it was finally done, and she turned my chair forwards, There wasn't any pink, just the brown and blonde, like I had asked for. It was really beautiful. I almost cried. She turned my dried out old purple hair into silky blonde and brown locks. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror. Beauty and the Beast is a wonderful salon with highly trained professionals. As I watched all the hair dressers as my color set, I witnessed nothing other than success after success. Beautiful after beautiful new hair styles were created for everyone at the salon today. I can't rave about this place enough! Beauty and the Beast is amazing!! Crystal is an awesome expert stylist, and colorist. I also love the cut as well. I feel like I hit the trifecta today. I can't wait to go back for my next visit for a retouch in a few months. Thank you Crystal for your expert color correction, and my stunning new hair color, cut, and styled creation!!!! Thank you again, I can't thank you enough. You Rock!!! I couldn't...
Read moreIt's taking me a few weeks to write this.. I was going to let it go but I can't. I've been here in the last 2 months for 2 separate appts. One for myself and one for my son. My appt went OK enough, except that my hair was cut about several inches shorter than I asked and the layers are messy. I get I could have said something sooner but once it's cut short..how do you fix that without going shorter? My 2nd appt was bringing my son for a haircut. He had been growing his hair out and had a hair cut picked he was wanting. One when you look at the picture shouldn't have been hard to cut. Well he goes back gets his hair washed and cut and about 15 mins later comes back out with the stylist and she said they were done. She also tells me that they dont have the correct equipment ie. Clippers or razors to do the cut for my son. she said " I did what i could and I think you should just go see someone else or a barber" Well we pay and we leave. But I'm confused. I have seen men getting haircuts in the past in salon and didn't think I was choosing a place unable to cut my sons hair. When we get to the car I look at my sons hair. The back was so unevenly cut, not straight and different lengths and that's.just the back of his head. The front was so uneven and so botched that when we went to a barber to just clean it up it couldn't be done. My son ended up doing a buzz cut on his hair pretty short just to get his hair even and fix up the cut. We were devastated by the experience. If the stylist had said at first she was unable to do a men's haircut I would have understood.. we would have left found someone else and even paid a cancelation fee for her time rather than her doing this awful haircut on my son that couldn't even be saved. edit speaking with the owner we had a great conversation and she took ownership of everything that happened. It was nice to have an owner so invested and involved to making sure clients are taken care of. Even though we can't change the haircuts she did everything else to ensure we're were as happy as we could be now. Thank...
