Street Taco and Beer Co. — Restaurant in Tucson

TERRIBLE! It takes a lot of negativity for me to post a low review and somehow this place managed to not care about any of the top three areas of any restaurant; Food, Service, Cleanliness. Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 6:30pm was like the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was running the place. Not a responsible employee anywhere. Just a bunch of kids with no concern whatsoever. The pic I posted was the "Torta" they literally threw together and I had to bring up to them twice that there was just one small piece of avocado and no mayonnaise. The meat was VERY stingy as you can see in the Pic and they just filled the bread with lettuce. 😐 No kid options for our toddler so we got him some French fries, but they told us they don't have ketchup anywhere in the place. I understand it's a Mexican menu, but you sell French Fries but act like asking for ketchup is dumb? It was mostly the crews lack of concern or effort with anything. We had to clean off our table and chairs just so we could sit down. Luckily I had a diaper bag with wipes to clean everything. Yes... we should've just left but when you pay over $60 for just 2 1/2 people, we kept trying to enjoy it. They were NOT even busy! I can't imagine why you would entrust your business and reputation on a crew like they had tonight. Unsuccessful attempt to clone your downtown locations success. All around disappointed. I have been at this new location many times now and the food is great! My personal favorites are the street style hot dog and gringo style asada tacos. The street style hot dog is with tomatoes, onions, jalapeño sauce, beans, and I think mayo. The bun is toasted on the griddle and the flavor hits like a punch. The jalapeño sauce has a tiny kick but not what I would call hot and I am as white as they get. The asada taco has a corn tortilla that is also heated up on a flat grill and added with meat, onions, tomatoes, and cheese. That meat is season to perfection. Another great mention is the street style fries, with flavors that don’t disappoint.

Other items I have that are good but not my favorite is the chicken and fish tacos. There isn’t anything wrong with them, just not my go to.

I have been meaning to take pictures to show their masterpiece but I find them in my stomach when I finally remember to take the photo. One day I do better to remember.

The staff are super fun and friendly during the entire interaction. You can’t go wrong going here. Oh, also go on a Tuesday to get massive discount on your taco orders. Also a military...

Update this place needs some training for professionalism. I see why someone complained about being managed by kids. Our order was about to be completely messed up because they weren’t paying attention and were more worried about talking to each other loudly while making our food about “what did you do last night”.

Then when I corrected the person making my food she was a little defensive and also didn’t bother to apologize.

Sadly after my second time here I won’t be coming back.
