Dairy: Clean, polite and helpful personnel.
Meat/butcher block: Quick service. The morning manager and meat cutters are excellent! We have had custom orders cut and purchased multiple times. When their selection removed one of our favorite lamb items they ordered it in for us and relayed when it arrived! This is the type of service that will keep us coming back.
Deli: Unfortunately their service deli is rather slow to serve. The management seems to prioritize deli workers creating prepackaged production, instead of the 10 customers standing waiting. Often the have a single member helping customers, two or more creating products. The workers are always polite though, just wish dinner hours 4-7 had more help and their products were already full.
Front End: The cashiers are polite overall however I no longer see a single cashier who can bag AND checkout their customer. This results in prolonged awkward time where in standing next to a bagger who rushed up mid order still bagging my groceries while the cashier starts in on ringing the next customer up. The members who work the SCOTs are friendly and helpful. Often they are slammed with assistance requests during the dinner rush so getting that ID check for my alcoholic beverage or an override for me putting on another paper bag takes a couple minutes to get cleared up.
Overall, they are a great store but I truly dread going during dinner rush or on the 1st/15th. The quality and service keep us from Safeway...

Fry's grocery has updated itself a bit over the years, and the whole center is full of friendly helpful people in every store. Lots of choices on types of food available here as well. If you are looking for a good price on gasoline, the Fry's fuel station is just North of the main center, on the other side of the intersection, same side of the road. It was moved from the main center due to eventual future road widening on Houghton, but it's so vastly improved, and easy to get in and out of, it was worth it. Sodas, sports drinks, ice, snacks, and even lottery tickets are all available at the fuel...
Read moreNo shade to this food truck, but if you're expecting authentic Jamaican cuisine, this isn’t it. Maybe it was a bad day, or they were short-staffed, but this was not worth the $15 I paid.
Jamaican food is known for its bold, balanced flavors—spicy, yes, but also sweet, salty, and full of depth. What I got was just spicy. Not the good kind of spicy either—it was "burn-your-butt spicy" with none of the other flavor notes that make Jamaican food so special. This leads me to believe these recipes aren't authentic.
I’ll give their restaurant a try to see if it’s a different experience, but as for the food truck, maybe I ordered the...
