I loved LaFortune as a kid, it always seemed like one of the "fancier" parks to me, but that probably had something to do with the fact that the play equipment may have been some sort of recent over 15 years ago when I was small. Most of the playgrounds look like they haven't been upgraded or fixed in any way since then. Chunks are missing off several of the smaller play structures and there are cracks and damages that made me nervous my son would hurt himself. Everything is just so old that it's filthy and I ended up leaving pretty quickly to find a different park to play at. Super disappointing especially since they just spent who knows how much money building a brand new "Buffalo Herd Monument" consisting of 4 random Buffalo statues. It would be neat if it were in addition to some much needed playground upgrades but it just seems pretty out of touch. I still enjoy the walking trail which is the ONLY reason I gave it more than a single star but until they give the rest of the park some much needed TLC two is all I can muster and that still feels pretty generous.
