Ahhhh k! So, this is not only my new favorite cafe, but all others no longer need apply. Since moving to Tulsa five years ago, I've bounced around different coffee shops that I liked - my first favorite was Antoinette's, then Gambill's, then Notion, then Doubleshot - but each of them always was missing some "X factor" to it. The Collaborative has that X factor: community. The staff are very kind and endearing, and it's the first place that has drawn me back because of the baristas rather than the coffee itself. (The only other place that had done that previously was to see Nancy at Antoinette's - RIP Sweet Nancy.) I asked a barista at Collaborative, "what is it with this place? Everyone seems to know each other." She laughed and said that everyone is just friendly at the shop and they get to know one another. This was so refreshing to hear, and even though it's a haul for me to get out to this shop, I prefer to do it every time. Super bonus to the Collab for allowing dogs on their patio - AND inside. This is what a cafe...
Read moreWe held our gender reveal here and had the most unique experience and the staff is absolutely incredible!! Cannot recommend their coffee, atmosphere and people enough. They are our favorite place in Tulsa to get coffee and experience memories. Carolina helped put everything together and is an absolute pleasure to work with. I wish we could use her for everything. She was just as excited as we were to find out and is forever family now. Please think about the Collaborative for more than just coffee because its so much more. Coffee wise 😋 we had lattes that their baristas perfected all week and everyone got to choose what flavor. Our favorite latte this last month was the brown sugar latte. I'm hoping they will do a citrus/orange flavor for spring!! Blueberry muffins are the perfect moist, melt in your mouth, but not too crumbly either taste of perfection. Everything...
Read moreI was so excited to try this place, but was quickly disappointed. I went in and asked for an iced caramel macchiato, I was then laughed at by both baristas and was told yes in a tone that sounded like I was being difficult (I was repeatedly apologizing and being very nice). They then proceeded to make me a caramel latte (I work as a barista, two different drinks) that didn’t even have the milk and espresso separated like a macchiato should be. I sucked it up and was going to try to enjoy the caramel latte, but quickly found out that the shots were burnt and there was no flavor to the syrup. This made me upset because I was so excited to try this place, spent quite a bit for a small coffee and was already running a little late. I really hope this was a one time experience because as I have already stated, I was very excited to try...
