Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Tulsa

Party of 4 drove 20 miles to try the taro, coconut, Thai tea, and a non milk drink with boba. Overly sweet more than most places. Bathroom out of Order, decent staff except for getting the no milk order wrong when we explained the person ordering specifically asked for no milk/milk products and ordered a non milk item from menu it was made with milk so politely asked for it made without milk and the man says “well it’s not dairy milk” No sir, that’s not what we ordered please remake it with no milk of any kind even oat or other milk. He reluctantly remade the drink. Not worth the drive or the hassle of having to ask them to make a drink on the menu getting one with milk and then trying to be talked into taking it anyway with milk in it. Other drinks were plain and subpar for this type of drink, Thai tea was not Thai tea in an American or Thai sense, was overly sweeter and no flavor of Thai tea. Will go elsewhere...

I ordered two Thai teas and both are absolutely vile. It tastes like rye bread??? I honestly can't think of any other way to describe it. I've had Thai tea from probably a dozen establishments and I make it at home quite frequently with different brands— that is to say, I know what Thai tea should taste like. Of course there are slight variances from brand to brand but this is not normal. I've never had any tea that tasted this foul. Unfortunately I got it delivered so I wasn't able to ask for it to be re-made or replaced, but I added additional sugar and evaporated milk at home and it was still undrinkable. I also ordered a taro smoothie and it wasn't very good, something tastes off but I can't put my finger what it is.

How can a shop specializing in drinks not get two tremendously popular...

When I first walked in I wasn’t greeted at all by the staff. The boba options are pretty limited than most places. The staff; however, was not helpful at all when I had asked his opinion on a few flavor I wasn’t unsure of and even he didn’t know which in the business field, is something you have to be knowledgeable of in order for the customer to feel reassured of their pick. The staff were dumbfounded when I had looked over and most were messing around while the owner was chilling in the corner.
