Update: the owner replied to my review and explained more of the components of the selling structure, including some cool info, like there being over 60 sellers aka over 60 small businesses selling at this establishment. I added a star for that very kind and detailed response, and because I now understand the mentality behind some of the pricing (unfortunately updating this review seems to have removed the owner’s comment). I gotta leave it at 4 stars though because I do believe tons of the items are still priced above their value. However, I recommend this shop to anyone who can afford it.
Original review: This is the coolest vintage shop in Tulsa (and honestly one of the best I’ve been to period), and the employees are amazing. However, I have to knock stars off for the pricing. It’s actually insane how overpriced everything is here, and it seems like they’re higher every time I visit. Not every old t-shirt is worth $45 just because it’s from the 90s. You can find deals like anywhere else, but it’s getting harder and harder to. I know it’s the sellers renting the booths who determine the prices, not the establishment itself, which is a MASSIVE bummer, because I truly love everything else about this place. I hope they start capping some of the price points or the sellers start selling at more...
Read moreI went in today to browse like everyone else. I was able to find 2 sets of salt & pepper shakers I wanted to add to my collection. As I was only a few isles into the store one lady approached me asking to take my items to the front. As she took them from me she told me they would be up front to keep shopping. So this made me feel weird. So I approached the front and asked why she did that. I was told they do it to everyone. As I continue being confused on what happened my husband kept browsing. We then noticed all of their customers was shopping with stuff in their hands. Hands full of items.. They was not approached or stuff taken. I then realized we was the only black people in there. Makes sense. ONE lady assured me it wasn't that but i was the only one approached as they was all behind the counter again. We ended up leaving without buying anything. I told them it made me feel weird. I WILL NOT BE BACK! 2023...
Read moreIt’s okay. There’s other antique shops that offer stuff for better prices. I was finding warn down children’s books for $8/pc, tons of coffee mugs for around $12/pc and VHS tapes for $5/pc. (Who even watches VHS anymore?) I understand a lot of stuff is antique but a lot of stuff wasn’t anywhere near worth the price listed. Jewelry and antique machines I can understand being pricey, however, pricing donated items way way over the price it’s worth just sounds like a rip off. I would recommend trying to other antique shops around. Mugs that are only $2/pc, children’s books that are .50-$1/pc, and VHS tapes for $2/pc. This Love Me Two Times is insanely expensive for what the...
