Had an acoustic and an electric set up here for I think $160 total. Unfortunately, I have realized that both setups ruined the tones of my guitars. Originally I thought that my electric was fixed because I could hear the low E ring better. However, I discovered that this was because he shortened the scale length. This resulted in overall terrible feel as the strings were tense and too high, resulting in DEAD tone. For some reason, turning the saddles around (even at the same scale) brought some of it back. This means that the saddles were filed wrong and unevenly. I can see a gap under the strings. Also, the low E buzzes when it’s open, even though I was specifically told that he raised it (.012”, when it needs .020”). I get bad overtones, a lack of sustain, maybe an off radius, and strings catching in the nut. On the acoustic, the low E, the saddle height has resulted in flat, dull intonation. It’s hard for me to feel angry because I know that I accepted both setups initially, but I am 100% certain that the electric’s sound was ruined. If I did not have videos of the same guitar to reference and months to spend tweaking it, I would have been stuck with a dud of a $1000 guitar. The pickups sound like a mic’d acoustic now as compared to a metal pole. Now, I write this review knowing that James, the tech, will recognize me because I genuinely would like to rectify this. He followed the usual intonation procedure but did not realize that the instrument did not sound right. Please don’t think that I’m just a mistaken customer because I can easily prove this to you. I would consider removing this review if we could work something out, just reply to me...
Read moreI rented a speaker and mic for an event and it started raining shortly after I rented the equipment within the next hr once the rain slacked up a little bit because i didn't want to get their equipment wet for numerous reasons. So I then immediately returned the equipment unused, never even removed the equipment from my vehicle and they still charged me full price for the rental. They're rental policy is horrible. If I have to rent equipment again it will not be from EatMyBeats based off my experience with the rental equipment. I work retail and I understand policies but I also understand customer experience and how it effects business. The guy that I returned the equipment too showed no empathy and basically made me feel like EatMyBeats doesn't care that you never used it and we're going to take your...
