Stater Bros. Markets — Attraction in Tustin

Don’t go to this place it’s sketchy they stole all my cash from the Amazon card by giving me a faulty Amazon card & to top it off Amazon didn’t want & couldn’t refund me my 196$ & a specialist told me to return it for a refund from where I bought it from & they didn’t want to refund me my cash back at all & I would get a weird vibe every time I pulled out cash & looks from workers & people yet that night felt very off plus if I knew I’d never would of bought the card or anything from this place 3 to 4 years ago at all ever & never again cause this place didn’t want to help me at all when I already disputed it with Amazon & they told me I had to get the refund with the seller that sold their product originally & it’s funny cause every other transaction was always quick & smooth which is very odd & suspicious & off putting & makes you skeptical & wonder where that cash went or if one of the female workers there pocket it instead of adding it & cause of this I’m never spending physical big portions of any cash bills in person again only by card cause that was a lot of cash & it may of been more that I spent that day than I initially thought I said I spent too yet I’m never going to this location ever again cause Neither businesses reimbursed me back for my troubles &...

I had a disturbing experience at the Stater Bros. on Red Hill in Tustin. The cashier, Mustafa was extremely disrespectful he didn’t greet me, didn’t make eye contact, kept his head down, and completely ignored me. I’m an African American woman, and I watched him speak kindly to the customers before and after me. But when it was my turn—it was like I didn’t exist. Moments later, I heard him cheerfully greeting the next person in line.

When I tried to speak with the manager, Alberto, he brushed me off and showed no professionalism or concern. If he had just taken a moment to address it, this could’ve stayed between us. Instead, I left feeling hurt, unseen, and disrespected.

Mustafa, it’s sad—your own community has faced racism and discrimination. Why pass that pain on to someone else? This kind of behavior should never be normalized, and I refuse to stay silent. Racism has no place in customer service—or anywhere else. Unfortunately this will be escalated.

This stater Brothers was very clean and very organized and overall had decent customer service for some reason though I just get a slightly colder feeling from stater Brothers than I do most other markets and I feel like some of the employees are a little snooty not sure if it's a cultural thing or location but if it's location it must be an Orange county / Santa Ana garden Grove locations I don't know I can't explain it but I just know that I felt a little bit awkward when I shopped at stater Brothers if I didn't know where I was going or where things were but as far as cleanliness and availability and choices it's pretty decent but I would not pick it as my first choice except for wine the wine is excellent and they have a great deal on I think it's three if you buy three bottles you get an extra 30% on top of be already discounted prices. So maybe do your shopping list and buy your rent...
