The parks in Twentynine Palms are some of the only places where you can find grass in the city. They keep it well groomed and taken care of. There is a grassy area for family picnics, two baseball fields, one on each side of the playground area, and a ramada with picnic tables and barbeques that you can reserve. The playground equipment in this park is unique and playful, with rock walls to climb, seesaws, swings, and a sit-n-spin. Even the bike rack shaped like a dinosaur adds a certain whimsical fun. There are two sets of equipment in the playground area, one for the younger kids and one for the bigger ones to play. With the newer edition of shades covering the equipment, the park equipment doesn't get as hot in the summer. Though when its 110° you may want to find something else to do anyway. Read more29 Palms Dog Park @ Knott's Sky Park Corner of El Sol & Foothill Great (and much needed) place for our furry family members. Separate areas for small dogs and the over 30lb larger dogs. Water fountains designed for dogs. Obstacles in both "playgrounds" provide stimulation and training. I see some folks complain that wood chips are used in some sections but this is the desert and costs are a factor I'm sure. Read moreI love this park...all the areas are separate from each other.. The bathrooms are big and open and airy. They are missing the doors on the stalls though, but not crowded enough to make a difference here...the jungle gym has bridges and alot more than just the typical swings and slides but they have those too. There's a large grassy area below the mountain to fly kites and walk around with a lovely view of the Joshua tree...
