I had no plans to write a bad review until the call I made was handled very poorly. I have also read through other bad reviews and believe they all stem from the same problem. My husband ordered anniversary flowers while on a rig far off. By googling my area and flower delivery. He paid a crazy high prize for a small arrangement with a plastic vase. The vase has fallen over upwards of 30 times in a few days because it is skinny and plastic which is why I called to give some constructive criticism. The young lady on the other end explained to me that it was my husband's fault because he used a third party company. They take half the money the customer pays up front. She also claimed the order specifically requested a plastic vase which is ridiculous. I went and read through everything and it didn't. My husband had no idea it was third party. The company is Ava's flowers so he thought it was a shop. A lot of people have complained about paying really high amounts for cheaper arrangements, probably because of this third party trap. Bear in mind this is something that Lou Ann signs up for to receive more customers. If it lowers the quality of work and costs your customers more then maybe paying to advertise your actual company on google would benefit the company and customer more? Either way it definitely wasnt my husbands fault and there was no request for a skinny plastic vase on the order. Even if there was lou anns is choosing to work with this third party company. The conversation was warm and sincere, and it was clear they were genuinely concerned about our experience. It's not often that an owner takes the time to make things right in such a personal way. We are so grateful for their responsiveness and are truly touched by their dedication to their customers. This is the kind of care that makes a business stand out. We now have a new appreciation for this shop and can see that their reputation is well-deserved.
I'm writing this review with a heavy heart. We ordered a sympathy arrangement for an employee who had lost her father, based on a recommendation from a local resident. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing.
The flowers that were delivered were significantly smaller and not as full as the photo and description on the website, which was disheartening. But what was truly unacceptable was that the arrangement was delivered without a card. This was especially painful as the message was meant to convey our condolences and support. The lack of a card meant our employee had no idea who the flowers were from.
While we appreciate the intention of the recommendation, we cannot recommend this florist due to these significant failures in both product quality...
Read moreI ordered a candy basket for an employee that was in a car accident from another florist in town and spent $150 to make sure it was nice to show our appreciation and concern. I picked the florist off a google search because it was the first one that showed up in the search and thoroughly advertised candy baskets. After calling, the florist said she could deliver (since it was outside her normal area) with an extra fee so I placed my order. The day of delivery she called me and said she couldn’t find the address(it was on a state highway in Hawkins), had put it in her gps and would not bring it to the restaurant I work at in Big Sandy, that I would have to come pick the basket up at her shop. When I arrived to pick it up (shop was at her home), it was a mess, had bugs in it, $30 worth of product and she refused to refund deliver fee. I’m glad she wasn’t able to deliver it because I would have been embarrassed. I immediately took the basket to Lou Ann’s in tears, told them what happened and her staff reworked it. It turned out beautiful! They added much more to it and made it presentable! She only charged me $30. The container and things that they added was worth much more than that. I will recommend them for everything in this area!! My employee and his family were brought to tears when he saw the basket. Thank you for saving...
