Velvet | a vintage collection — Local services in Tyler

I love this store but their customer service STINKS! They had two of these couches HOWEVER one had an issue with the arm loose…so when I purchased and THEY marked SOLD… I bought the better one! Also I verified before leaving the store that the correct one that I wanted was marked to ensure I received the correct one…before I picked mine up someone came in and bought the other one however they took the one I PURCHASED FIRST! She stated both were marked sold at that point but of course when they came to pick up first they took the better one that did NOT have a loose ARM! When I called about it all I got was sorry! Miss-communication and that is it… she said I could return it … I live 45 minutes away…I asked her to pick it up and she said “NO! I am even making an exception letting you even return it!“ Very poor service and poor attitude… the FACT IS… I bought the one I bought and did NOT receive the one I PURCHASED! NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT but very disappointed and in disbelief of their attitude about the situation! Perhaps 🤔 what can we do to make this right for you would have been a nice start off statement and I would have been much more understanding than WELL mistakes happen…chop chop! The couch I bought and paid for did NOT...

Best vintage shop I’ve walked into in a long time. This place is so rad! My husband surprised me with a gorgeous turquoise ring, that I fell in love with the last time we stopped in at the Velvet. We are musicians who enjoy finding hidden treasures like this shop in different parts of the country as we travel. This space is a whole experience, with tasteful touches from the past everywhere you set your eyes. The beautiful owner, Bree is amazing and definitely gives attention to detail in all she sets up and sells at her shop. From the mid-century furniture & the clothes, down to the dishes, jewelry and pins, she has a unique collection of goodness for vintage lovers to enjoy. Velvet has a super friendly team with individual style as beautiful & unique as the shop itself. So me and my daughter stopped by because she loves vintage items.. As we walked in we seen a couple of ladies sitting a table. They just starred at us as if they seen a ghost!! We were not greeted or asked if we needed any help. I immediately felt uncomfortable and wanted to walk out but my daughter wanted to keep looking around. As we continue looking then my daughter said mom let's go .As we turned around and started walking towards the exit door. No one said thanks for stopping by or anything!! So the atmosphere and the treatment there stinks!! I will never ever stop there again to get treated and ignored like this. Wake up people it's 2024...
