BUYER BEWARE! As much as it pains me to say this, I can no longer give my business to The Painted Tree-Tyler! I have loved shopping there since its opening, but in case you haven’t heard, they have a ridiculous 48 hour return policy and they DO NOT take care of their customers when purchased items are damaged! I purchased the shirt (pictured) 6 days ago. It has never been worn. I was going to take the tags off to wash it, and noticed the holes in the fabric (see pic). They were very hard to see due to the pattern on the shirt, so I did not notice them when I originally purchased the shirt. Btw…the shirt was clearly cut with box cutters in the unboxing process. The booth I purchased it from (The Bizarre Bazar) had another identical top, but the store manager refused to approve an even exchange with a receipt (pictured). Yes…I totally understand that there are dishonest people who abuse the system…but there are also honest people who just had the bad luck of picking up the one shirt with a hole in it. (In my opinion, treating your honest and loyal customers like they are ā€œtrying to pull one over on you,ā€ is not an effective business model!) Bottom line…There are lots of cute things in The Painted Tree…but you better make sure they fit and you better be prepared to look over your purchases with a fine tooth comb before you leave the store, because they definitely will not make it right if the item is damaged! Believe me! I learned the hard way! (That’s $50 bucks I’ll never get back!) For me…I can no longer give my money to a business that chooses such a restrictive exchange policy. There are so many other great shopping choices (both in town and online) who have more realistic customer service practices! Goodbye Painted Treeā€¦šŸ‘‹šŸ‘‹šŸ‘‹

It's a flea market, dressed up fancy. Most of the available goods are way overpriced and low quality, as is often the case. More distressingly, though, is the fact that they advertised a Mother's Day event with live music, refreshments, and sales from 10a-8p on Saturday before mother's day. This sounds like the kind of thing my wife would absolutely love! So I brought her here today, and there is... none of that. Apparently they didn't verify that the live performer could stay the whole time, and also had only one performer. She left at 4 today apparently. There were no refreshments to be found, and no big sales that we could see either. It was just like any other day. Felt a lot like false advertising just to pull additional traffic in. When we asked the staff about it, they just shrugged. "Sorry, she left." (No mention of refreshments or sales.) 2 stars because some of the individual vendors have neat stuff, but pricewise you'd be better off just waiting for First Monday or one of the monthly New Moon markets downtown. I prefer that anyway, as your money goes directly into the vendors' hands, rather than letting the venue take a cut. We won't be back. Edit: Also, 48-hour return policy. Yikes.

Painted Tree in Tyler is one of my absolute favorite places to shop local! With over 350 vendors, it’s a treasure trove of unique finds—from adorable clothes for both me and my daughter to cute home decor, gift ideas, and some of the best beauty and body products in the city. I love that it supports small businesses and gives you a boutique experience without the boutique prices. The layout is spacious, the lighting is great, and they have convenient amenities like dressing rooms, on-site restrooms, shopping carts, and even a couple of seating areas. Parking is easy, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly makes it even better! Whether you’re shopping for yourself or looking for the perfect gift, Painted Tree never disappoints.

I think the idea of this shop is so neat. Kind of a mini Canton. A little pricey I must say. Nevertheless cool to look around. Visited twice within two days back to back with my mom and my daughters, and unfortunately encountered the same snarky rude, pushy employee ( Marieli C.) both days. First day I asked about a price on a candle i didn’t see ans my hand was covering it, instead of pointing it out jokingly or kind she was very smartly pointed out @uh it’s riiiight there!ā€ and walked off. She made us feel rushed out both day as it got close to closing but passed up others in dressing rooms and standing. We had 8 min til closing and was already headed towards the door. The other young lady at the desk was friendly and even said thank you for coming. It most certainly was not a welcoming feeling at all! In addition to the rudeness my daughter purchased some honey straws from the Baker & Bee area which ended up being crystallized and none edible but due to the rudeness we ended up just throwing them away and eating the charge rather than deal with the people there again. Glad we got to experience it but prob will skip this store! Worth...
