I really wanted to like this place. I have been to the Rockwall location and love it. First- there isn't much organization or direction for getting your waiver signed at the location. It was a bit of a free for all. But whatever, next time I know to make sure it's done online, lesson learned. Then after I pay for an hour of jump for me and my 4yo daughter. We cant find a place to sit down to put on the socks. I REPEAT. THE PLACE WAS SO CROWDED- there was no where to comfortably sit and change our socks. Okay, fine. We sit on the floor and change our socks. Then we get over the trampoline area, and there is a young adult (18- 20 maybe) walking around with a scowl on her face to enforce rules to the umpth degree. THE MOMENT MY DAUGHTER AND I ENTERED THE TRAMPOLINE AREA She rudely told me "you can't jump with her, one person per trampoline, only." Whilst twirling her blond hair in her fingers. Then she walked away to inform (with the same attitude) another mother the same thing who was there with what looked like a 2yo. Then onto two girls holding hands jumping "YOU CANT DO THAT." Okay - so let's review. I figured out how to fight a line and get my waiver signed on my own. Sat on the floor and changed my socks. Finally make it over to the crowded trampoline area to jump with my timid 4yo to be told that I can't. So after some coaching and encouragement, I walked away to let her jump alone as there were not enough trampolines for the "1 per person rule." The side was lined with parents in the jump socks NOT JUMPING because they weren't allowed to jump WITH their child and it was too crowded for any of us to be out there. The few moments I walked back out to try to jump on a trampoline along side her, the employee was on me like a hawk. It was so uncomfortable. She was either getting on to someone or clearly looking for the opportunity the entire time. What an unfun environment to create in a venue that's suppose to be all about fun. Anyways, like I said- I didn't jump much as I was afraid another child might wind up on a trampoline with me, which would lead to that employee spouting off (and I honestly, my frustration with her was building, and I don't think I could've held my tongue if she came over and said one more thing.) So I guess all of us parents paid for the jump pass and fancy socks to stand to the side. And I guess management doesnt mind us paying for nothing, because there clearly wasn't enough room for any of us if they truly enforce the 1 person per trampoline rule. Luckily, my child did still have fun, but I will not be back. I will go back to iJUMP Tyler where there is more to do for her age group and less expensive. AND I CAN JUMP WITH MY CHILD. Or I will visit Rockwall Urban Air where customers arent constantly nagged about "rules" and "moving along." AND I CAN JUMP WITH MY CHILD. To underline my disappointment, this is the first review I've bothered to...
Read moreMUST READ: My wife and I took our daughter and her two friends to Urban Air in Tyler, TX on Saturday January 26th 2019 for her birthday. We decided to join them in the fun. After coming out of the ball pit, I noticed my long sleeved shirt on my right arm was soaking wet. My daughter told me that the management at Urban Air in Tyler had temporarily shut down the ball pit, earlier, because someone had urinated in it. Well, I guess management decided that temporarily shutting down the ball pit would magically sanitize it and make it ready for more kids and adults to swim through. We immediately went to get some napkins to soak up the liquid that my shirt is covered in. Sure enough. A yellow liquid that smelled of urine. We rushed over to the ball pit and informed the employee who was working the pit. He just seemed annoyed that we were telling him about this and basically shrugged his shoulders over it. We found a manager and informed him about it. His attitude about the incident was not much better than the employee’s. He took us over to a cleaning closet and got us out some hand sanitizer. He attitude was very cavalier about what had happened and after seeing me getting more frustrated over how he was handling this sanitary crisis, he started laughing about it. Then, I became pretty angry. I demanded a full refund and that they shut down that ball pit, until it is properly sanitized. He gave me the refund, but only shut down one of the four lanes over the ball pit. That was a piss-poor decision and here’s why: The four lanes all share the same ball pit. As kids fall into it, the balls get mixed around and the balls with urine on them that were in lane 3, are now in lanes 2, and 1, and 4. It was the worst, most unprofessional, and idiotic management solution I had ever witnessed. As we left the premises, there were still kids and adults being let into the ball pit with some kid’s nasty unsanitary urine puddles floating around and getting mixed into all the balls, that people’s faces, hands, and body parts are now touching. Now, I’m no doctor, but that seems like a MAJOR health violation that was NOT handled properly at all. Shame on that manager and that employee who had total disregard for maintaining sanitary conditions and a safe environment for children and...
Read moreI booked a party for 11-1. When we arrived, the doors were still locked. We were let into the building just after our party was supposed to start. The room was on the second floor, although I had told the planner we had a handicapped guest. The hostess put together a room on the ground floor. The room was not set up for our party size. We waited while an additional two tables for cake and gifts were brought in. Guest had to go and ask for chairs. Our food finally arrived after 12 but without drinks. I ordered five pitchers. Our partygoers resorted to buying drinks for themselves. The drinks arrived at 12:48 pm. The host was most concerned about tallying the number of jumpers rather than attending to set up. My husband had to get forks and spoons to eat with. We had three platters of fries but no ketchup. One whole tray was wasted because the kids wouldn't eat them without ketchup. At 12:50, I was asked to go check out. The manager asked how the host served the food; we served the food and the cake. I asked if the 20 chicken tenders I ordered had been removed since they did not have them. I was told yes, but I was still charged. I was surprised that the three babies, including two who hadn't started walking yet, had been added to the guest count. The manager stood her ground on all charges but agreed to take one of the drink pitchers off the total. The host told us we could stay in the room for 20 extra minutes. I assumed it was due to the late start of the party, but the manager said no. We were told to clean up and move outside of the room. I and four family members cleaned up the room, including wiping down the tables. I paid $800 for an hour-and-a-half party with no drinks, served the food, and set up and cleaned up. We ended up giving the pitchers to another party since my guest were beginning to leave when they arrived. The attractions had no attendants. My son chose Urban Air for the rock wall, but it was closed the entire time. I would never recommend having...
