Here is a sign that the store management seems not to care about or acknowledge. They would rather harass an elderly woman and family who cannot wear face coverings for medical reasons than abide by their own publicly posted policy.
They would rather harass and cause unnecessary physical and mental stress during unprecedented times than accept that people from out of town have no time to seek alternative means of getting what they need.
Nowhere on this signage is there mention of any curbside delivery service that those whose health isn't up to snuff need utilize.
Nowhere in management's interaction was there decency to accept that it is demeaning and cruel to force someone out of their store who already has a cart full of merchandise. That it would be a far better alternative to accept that someone in the store's employ slipped up with the gatekeeping than to harangue those who had been happily shopping for almost a quarter of an hour with no issues from other staff members.
I for one know where I am never spending money again. And it really is such a shame. I enjoyed going with my family to see what food and wares there were at the store. I was even going to send family and former coworkers snacks and delicacies from there since most people I know don't have access to a World Market. Instead I shall be spreading the reality of just how this store's management treats...

Your store was previously, my favorite store. The rude young man guarding the entryway, stated that, although the governor has not reinstated the face mask policy, that World Market is a private company, so they make their own rules. The last I was aware, it is a publicly traded company. The same young man, approached me last year, while Christmas shopping with a cart full of items, while I was talking on my phone to my son, with my face mask pulled down during my call. He proceeded to tell me that, although there was no one within 6 ft of me, there were no exceptions, but to talk through my mask. I simply returned my items & left your store without purchase. Read moreStore Manager JD, went above and beyond to help us. When we came in to buy a table that was not available online, we found out that the store only had a floor model available. We were disappointed, we were unable to purchase and take it home that day. However, JD did not leave it there. He helped to literally scan all the tables we were looking at to confirm if they had stock in the store to take with us. We ended up getting a table that we originally had not seen online but liked at the store. When we got the table home we realized it was the better option fit the space anyway.
