this place is a living hell. it is racist, scam, business attitude is something you will probably never witness in your life for it is worse than torture, we wasted 100 dollars, and the staff treat us like criminals. we had to pay 15 dollars for parking about a mile away, and everything was old and worn. when we got to the building, we had some security guards scold us like wild dogs, just because we wanted to bring a bag of snacks and toiletries for our three year old. my husband wanted to complain to one of the guards about this inconvenience, and the guard said she would tell us the link when we came out. this was obviously the guard's scheme to make us forget about this , so my husband said he wanted to complain right now. then the guard shouted WELL HERE IS MY MANAGER!!!!! she pointed to a lady, and right away the lady started shouting at my husband about terms and conditions, and other things. my husband decided he would just return the bag, so he walked all the way to the old garage, and it was a while before he came back. while we were on the escalator to the concert hall, my son said the manager lady had given him a very rude and mocking look. at this point, I just wanted this "performance" to be over quick. when we got there, the "customer service" scolded that we had to wait for the song to be over to enter, and I don't know what that was about, so we waited and missed almost 20 minutes of our performance. when we got in, the seats were old and worse than most cinemas. The view was terrible, and every seat was a bad seat. my sons could not see anything and missed out on most of the performance. the performance was good, but was DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $100. then, i spotted my husband waiting at the door for no reason. the staff could have let him in, but no. they had to have him wait at the doorway and watch the song from there, even after he told them that he spotted our family, which was about 2 feet away. at that moment the worst happened. a man pushed my husband harshly away from the door, and said a very very very very bad swear in his face. he was delayed for about 15 more long and horrible minutes when the finally let us in. then after 20 minutes, the performance was over! it was a 75 minute performance and we only got to see about 35 minutes of it. this is such a SCAM!!!!!! the people there were probably racist, and this was the most horrible, pathetic excuse for a theater. I SEVERELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I WOULD GIVE IT 1/1000000 OF A STAR.THIS IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY, YOUR LIFE, AND YOUR...
Read moreFirst time here and couldn’t have been more pleased with the building and staffing! Drove from Lincoln County WV to see the Oak Ridge Boys. Upon arrival we had noticed the seats we purchased had been moved. Ticketmaster failed to notify me. The seats we moved to were closer to stage, however I picked the seats I picked due to my mom being short and getting her on the edge due to handicap reasons, and this was frustrating not knowing where we were gonna sit. Last year my mom got diagnosed with cancer and we didn’t get to take a vacation, so I have been trying to make it up for her and Im almost 30 and grew up with the oak ridge boys so I was a little devastated at first thinking this was going to ruin the experience for us, and honestly ready to break down and cry cause I truly thought it was going to be a hassle. However Fran, IJ, and Dennis helped to accommodate our needs from the second we walked in the door. All remaining calm and patient, kind and understanding with me and they actually gave us even better seats on the balcony. I honestly can’t thank them enough for making it easier than I anticipated and baring with me! We had a great time and I couldn’t be more thankful and blessed for their help. I have been to a handful of concerts and this was the best one and this place has great staffing, actually the best staffing I have ever seen! I highly recommend it, it’s very clean, and so beautiful! The staff communicated very well together too and not only did they help us, they were helping others it was not unnoticed, from parking, to seating, anything needed. Thank you again so much Capital One Hall you really don’t know how much that...
Read moreThis is probably my least favorite venue to see a play. Parking is $15. The garage used to be attached to the theatre, but now there is a separate lot 2 to 3 blocks away. To park at the theatre now is premium parking and more expensive. I've been to the theatre 5 times. I like to sit where I can see everything. If you sit in the R row, people walk back and forth the entire show. Did this twice. On my 3rd visit, I sat next to a gentleman with a crying baby. Someone asked him to take the baby to the lobby to calm the child. The man refused, and he said babies cry. I didn't hear much of that performance. The ushers didn't say anything. On my 4th visit, I saw a movie screening with live singing and orchestra. The people in front kept standing during the performance, so I missed a lot of the live band. Also, during the movie, people kept stepping over me. Behind me, I got hit several times as people moved in and out of their seats. And of course, no one says excuse me. On my last and perhaps final visit, I sat in the balcony. The best seat so far. It was quiet. However, I was so far up that I would not be able to recognize anyone from the cast. All afternoon, it was like looking at blurred faces. You may be wondering why I've been to this venue so many times if every time I go, I have a bad experience. I made the mistake of buying a subscription when the theatre first opened for 3 shows and didn't want to lose my money. A year later, I got a discounted price ticket that was unbeatable. On my last visit, they were showing my favorite show. No one else had the show, so I took...
