If you want employeeās to discriminate and act skeptical of you even when you have a receipt for a product purchased less than 30 days ago please visit this Home Depot. I recently purchased a Williams wall Furnace from The Home Depot located at 3005 Industrial Pkwy Sw Union CA on 03/04/2023. I installed the wall furnace the same day and noticed it would not stay on without having to push the reset button. Later that week I went back to The same Home Depot location to ask them what is the return policy and there was a young lady by the name of Adriana working in the Returns who said since I recently bought the item they would "RTV" the product and just not give me the box. I brought the wall furnace back a couple days later on 03/15/23 due to my work schedule and Adriana was there but said she needed to talk to a manager before she could exchange it for me. The manager on duty Omar came out to speak with me and asked what was the issue and after my explanation he decided to "RTV" it for me, he was very nice. The same day on 03/15 I installed the wall furnace and I noticed the igniter switch was not working when trying to light the pilot. I tried several times, the heater would not come on. I went back to the same Home Depot location on 03/17/23 without the heater to talk to someone in the store to let them know my issue. In the return area it was Adriana again, so I explained to her what was the problem with this heater and she said she needed to speak with the manager. The manager asked Adriana several questions and I explained what the issue was. They said they would take the heater back but it had to be that same day. I said I would not be able to return it today because I have to work and I am on a break now. Adriana said "if you do not do it today we the manager will not take it back" I said there is no way for me to do it today. Adriana said they were doing " she is doing you a favor because we already gave you a brand new hater" I told her the original heater I bought was new so how is that a favor? Adriana then goes on to tell me "you are making it worse for yourself. I requested to speak with the manager who was still on the phone and she refused to let the manager come and talk with me. I spent $1172 on a brand new heater and it has not been over 30 days and they are refusing to take the defective products back. Adriana was very disrespectful and the comments she made were belittling. I felt discriminated against because she was so skeptical like I was trying to do something shady. I was not asking for my money back, I just wanted to exchange the heater, the manager heard the whole conversation and also chose not to come speak with me. This wasn't my first time renting a truck, but it was my first time here. The last time I rented a truck, I called the nearest home depot and was in and out with the truck rental. This was the easiest thing I had done, so this time around, I decided to rent from Home Depot in union city as this was the closest one to my location. First, they never picked up their phone, so I couldn't verify if they had a truck without me physically being at the site. That didn't work out, so I prayed they would have a truck. When I got to the parking lot, I saw two trucks and one pickup truck, and I was glad to see that. So when I went to the service desk, there was no one there, so I waited around 20 minutes to get help. I went during off-peak hours, so there wasn't anyone shopping at the time. Finally, this girl came and helped get a truck, and she was in a hurry to get me out of there, and she messed up on the gas tank information, which was an issue when I came to return the truck. They were charging me 200 dollars added to the truck rental charges. It took them hours to fix this and they still ended up charging me 200 + rental fee. They would refund me 200 after they charged me, as this was the only way around this mess that was created due to the entered gas tank information. I then was instructed to call to make payment, which went even faster. The FULL amount was taken from my bank in less than 48 hrs. 1 week later , still no news. I called the store and no one could help me. I drove to the store waited for 45 min to be told that this is regarding an install so no one can help except a lady named , Marie, who, of course was not there. She only works Monday to Friday and from 8-5 pm. I called Marie later to hear that the carpet I selected is not available, I was disappointed but agreed to select something that is available so my project can get done. Marie told me that the product will ship in 48 hrs. 4 days went by and still no one called to schedule install. I called Marie again to hear that it hasnāt shipped and it should be shipped tomorrow from Georgia, so it would be here in 2 weeks or more. I canāt believe this, and felt so misled by Marie. I asked her that since the carpet hasnāt shipped to please cancel the whole thing. She said she canāt due to a system glitch but she will do it tomorrow and email me the confirmation. That was 3 days ago and today I called and canāt even get a hold of her. This is such a bad experience that I donāt think I Will ever want to have to deal with Hone Depot again.
