I was super excited to hear about this tour starting at the lake and it met all expectations! I came out with a couple family members and we all had a blast! The owners/guides are super sweet and fun! They tell you fun facts about the lake along the way. Even having lived in the area for 5 years I still learned something new. Whether you are from out of town or a local it’s a great way to see the Buckeye Lake area. Bikes and kayaks are provided and instructions are super simple to follow. I can’t want for the East Tour later this summer and will be back for that! Tips: -Bring layers of clothes, a hat, and sunglasses. You will get wet and weather can change. We had an absolutely perfect day and those layers weren’t needed but it’s always good to have a back up. -Bring sunscreen- the sun does reflect off the lake. If you are sensitive to sun you will want some. I always need chapstick too in the sun or wind. -If you aren’t familiar with the north bank, the address in gps might try to take you to a different north bank. Look up the Boatyard at buckeye lake. It’s next door to it and that will guarantee your gps takes you to the correct area. -Your kayak will have a dry bag to store your items while you cross the lake. I took my tennis shoes off on the way back. This would be a great time to wear water shoes if you have them. They also provide a waterproof case for your phone so no need to stress about the water. All items the need to stay dry will. -Have fun and enjoy the beautiful view...
Read more3XPtours was a blast. We did the pedal, paddle and pints West Tour. It was a 4 hour tour. The views were absolutely beautiful. Jeff, the owner and tour guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and down to earth. He greeted us at the door and provided us with a goody bag with a big surprise in it. We are already planning our text trip to do this again. I highly recommend using 3XPtours. It's a great experience at a very reasonable price. He even takes a bunch of picture and creates a video reel so you can enjoy your experience and not have to worry about taking pictures. Plus you get a discount at your stops. The food and drinks were we stopped were...
Read moreWe parked in the church parking lot and walked to the little shop where we started our tour. Jeff told us exactly where we were going throughout the day and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the experience. The weather was perfect. You could see the cute houses along the water while bike riding and we kayaked by a super cool island before ending at the winery. Try the beer from Buckeye Lake Brewery with the frozen grapefruit and the flatbread from the winery. Overall, it was a great day and I recommend the whole experience if you are around Buckeye Lake. Jeff and his family are...
