Don’t waste your money on the boat tour. I was very excited to treat my family to a tour of the lake on this historical boat, but the tour was canceled twice due to weather. I wasn’t contacted either time about the cancelation. The second time they claimed it was due to 10+ mile per hour winds, but it was only 3. Read moreThe museum has so much of the rich history of the Buckeye Lake area, including early settlers, the Ohio Erie canal and the infamous Buckeye Lake Park. A lot of old artifacts to see as well. There's much more there about the villages of Hebron and Buckeye Lake than anywhere else though. Not very much about Millersport, Fairfield Beach, Thornville and Thornport. But, well worth visiting if you like little museums... IF you can find the place open! Often it's not. Apparently, she has trouble attracting...

I already knew quite a bit of the history, so seeing old pictures and items from its heyday was very interesting. It doesn't really "teach" much, though (There's not a lot of explanation of what you are looking at.) I recommend reading the history online, etc., before visiting for the full experience. ...
