Simply Computers — Attraction in Upper Grand Lagoon

We had flown from Tennessee to Panama City in September. Prior to us leaving, I had shattered my phone screen. As soon as we got off our flight, we came to Simply Computers. Over this past weekend, my phone got EXTREMELY hot. So hot, we couldn't touch it. Verizon instructed us to take it to an Apple Store. They opened my phone to discover that a screw had punctured my battery and they said the phone was extremely dangerous...practically having a grenade in my hand. Although the phone was done in September and it is now May, they said since I had the phone in my back pocket and sat down, that is what could have caused the screw to lodge into the battery, regardless a screw was not where it was supposed to be. They said the situation could have been much worse. They instructed us to call the last person who had replaced my phone screen because there wasn't anything they could do since we didn't get the screen replaced by an Apple store. When I contacted the store, he made excuses, saying "the battery could have backed out." Very well, then what about the screw that wasn't replaced on the bottom of my phone. My phone went straight from his store into a lifeproof case. I would have noticed a screw just loose in my phone case. I had to go pay out $387 for a phone that was a paper weight in order to get another phone. We couldn't find an extra phone and I needed a phone being that I drive an hour one way to work and have a 3 year old. I wouldn't feel comfortable not having a phone for several days while it was shipped to Florida getting fixed by someone who already caused an issue. He said "well you could have just sent it to us and we would have replaced the battery." It's fine that he doesn't want to help with any of the money that I had to pay out, but when I put it in the scenario of my three year old could have had it and something happened, there would have been a lawsuit...he proceed to say "I don't care, that's why I have insurance." I came in because my gaming laptop kept crashing when trying to play my favorite game. I don’t know much about computers, due to recently switching from console. So I really didn’t know what the issue was and I did all of the basic troubleshooting and couldn’t figure it out . I work a lot so I don’t really have time to be trying to figure this thing out . So I called these guys explained my problems dropped my laptop off was told it should be done around Friday , never received an update so I just walked in on Monday . They told me that my gaming laptop was probably not capable of running my game . I asked if I should just get something else and they told me that it would a good idea. To my knowledge they uninstalled the game and reinstalled it a couple of times and ran a one click benchmark on it . When I spend my money in 2024 on a service that someone has offered me I expect them to be educated on what I’m bringing them and to have some drive to solve the problem . I was quoted between $45-$90 for the fix . I payed $90 .it left a bad taste in my mouth that I payed for this so I did my own research and tested my laptop without ever doing this before and BOOM i notice my Laptop hardly has enough RAM to run my game efficiently. Went to Best Buy purchased some RAM popped it in the laptop . The game plays effortless now . Glad I didn’t purchase another +$1000 setup. Yesterday, I just smashed my iPad Air and I'm not taking about a few cracks. I shattered it and little pieces of the screen were falling out... I also dropped it so hard I even dented the sides, I thought I was at a loss but I called these genius men who run simply computers and they fixed it in 24 hours for 120$. They have special tools that can shape out your iPad or iPod back to its original state. I'm using it now. It's like I have my brand new iPad Air back (because I do) Thank you so much!!!! I recommend to all. Don't go to best buy...Geek squad...freak squad... They just want your money and they won't fix anything without a charging cord and a bunch of other crap. Simply Computers.... Needs to change their name to Super Duper Simple Computers, LLC. Company tag line: Where your prized possession is fixed by geniuses.
