Originally, I called and asked if they could deliver to my hotel and I was immediately put on hold for nearly 10 minutes. I hung up and we got in the car to find somewhere else. Not knowing the area extremely well, we ended up passing it and went in. Found out why they put me on hold - VERY busy!
Our waiter was very nice and we were seated and had drinks quickly (just wish they had Coke products instead of Pepsi). We ordered the garlic knots (appetizer), the philly steak wrap and a cheese calzone with pepperoni (entrees). The entrees ended up coming out and we still hadn't gotten our garlic knots so the waiter took them off the bill for us. He didn't have to since we still got them, but it was very nice of him to do so. They weren't slacking and being lazy, they were honestly that busy.
The decor was dim-ish and cozy, like a local coffee shop would feel. They had a great selection of choices. It was refreshing since my husband and I don't really eat seafood, so seeing non-fish choices was excellent. My philly steak wrap was OH MY GOODNESS delicious. It was like the best philly steak sandwich, but in a wrap (less bread, yay!). My husband's calzone was seasoned tasting and filled to the brim with delicious cheese and pepperoni. The marinara was also very good. The garlic knots (once we finally got them) were incredible. They also had nice different touches such as cannolis and some different choices for pizza toppings.
I will definitely visit each trip I take to Panama City Beach, it...
Read moreSo…. Ordered a pizza from our favorite pizza place for over two years. Phone call seemed a little off. Employee seemed new needing help. At the end of the call pizza appeared to be ordered and was given a $30.00 and change cost with 30 minute pickup time. Get to Panama Pizzeria in approximately 30 minutes and was told I must have ordered from a different restaurant. Went back to my truck to get my phone to show what restaurant I had called being Panama pizzeria. Had to re-order and since I now had to wait. I ordered a Stella Draft that I would not have ordered if my ordered pizza was ready as expected. So pizza finally comes out, and employee ask if there is any thing he can do. I said how about a discount. Employee goes and talks the Darla… Comes back and offers a 15% discount… So a $30.00+ change dollar pizza with a Stella draft somehow now totals up to $39 dollars and change??? Must be the new math. I asked for Darla to come over to explain… She did not seem to care. Seemed more concerned that other customers might hear my complaints. She did not seem to know how to change to total amount… At the end of this ordeal, a two topping pizza and a Stella Draft ( that I would not have ordered) cost $32.00 and change???? Again must be new math. Got home. The light sauce pizza had no sauce or something else, and was not cooked well as ordered since they tried to rush it through, even though I specifically told the employee no to rush it. We wanted it cooked well…. Not anticipating...
Read moreGoogle, you lied to me! I searched " best pizza in Panama City" & this place came up. Reading other reviews and looking at pictures I thought for sure we found the go to spot for pizza. I walked into the establishment and walked to the register to pick up my families food. A gentlemen was standing there finishing up what I assumed was the last transaction. When he finished what he was doing he walked away. So I stood there for approximately 10-12 mins and still no acknowledgement I was standing at the register waiting to be greeted. Finally as soon as I seen another worked I went and asked how to get taken care of in the establishment. Then the guy that brought the food out assured me the pizza would be some of the best we had ever had. And apologized for no one greeting me after standing at the register. Upon getting home and everyone digging in, we realized we had just paid $63 for 2 pizzas that no one (4 kids thirteen and under. So you know it has to be bad for the kids to not eat) even ate a full piece. It was bland and the dough was very "stretchy" save your self the money and hit up little ceasers. At least there you know what your paying for. I don't mind to pay for food, but at $63 for a large pepperoni pizza and a large with pepperoni, banana peppers, and onion I expect the pizza to at least be eatable. Sincerely and upset out of Towner! I should have listened to the local guy we asked that said to go...
