Absolutely the Highlight of Our Trip!

We had an amazing time on the Great Jebiz snorkeling and dolphin tour! Not only is this the only 100% female-owned tour company in the area, but the team of guides was absolutely incredible—knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about the ocean and the local marine life.

We originally tried to book one of the bigger boats, but they were sold out—and honestly, that turned out to be the best thing that could’ve happened. As we cruised past those crowded tours, we couldn’t help but feel lucky to be on a smaller, more personal boat with attentive guides and a relaxed, welcoming vibe.

A major highlight? We saw a huge pod of dolphins, and it was absolutely magical. The guides were respectful of the animals’ space, but still made sure we got a great view. We also had plenty of time to snorkel, and they pointed out all kinds of fish, coral, and sea creatures we never would’ve noticed on our own.

Bonus—though this clearly isn’t the most important part—they were also a crew of very cool, very pretty young women who made the whole experience feel easygoing and fun.

After searching the multiple Shell Island tours, I am so pleased that I chose Good Jibez! It was super simple to book online and the check in process was just as easy. We arrived a bit early and sat in the covered bar area and had a drink and enjoyed the cool breeze. The boat was clean and roomy as these cruises are a bit smaller with only about 15-18 people. Our Captain Jaia (Jaya) and Deck hand Sam were knowledgeable, helpful, and very personable. We started off dolphin watching and then entered the “kiddie pool” area for snorkeling. The water there was calm and shallow enough for the kids in my group. We were able to see some marine life including sand dollars, fish, sea snails, and crabs. While snorkeling, dolphins swam into the inlet to feed and were literally feet away from us. It was breathtaking to see! Each member of our group was able to get one included soda and unlimited water, plus one could purchase extra snacks for just a dollar.
