We visited on a Sunday around noon in late June 2025. There were plenty of parking spots available in this parking lot. There were a number of spots that were shaded by trees so you can have your pick. It is a long walk from here to the visitor center and it's up a hill. The path is paved so it's doable with with stroller. The parking lot also has public restrooms and water fountain. Adjacent to the public restrooms is also a Bike Rental Shed which you can rent bikes to ride around the historic site. We only had about 2 hrs here so we didn't think it was worth it to rent. The parking lot in general was definitely updated on the higher end.
