Bloom Nails and Spa — Attraction in Utica

I've been there four times...there were many red flags about this place. For one, the owner (don't remember her name) talks about you in their language... I picked out a color one time and i guess she didn't like it and told me "that's for old people!" and was hysterically laughing and started rambling on and on in her language to the other workers and even said "color" in the midst of it all so I knew they were talking about me... how obvious can u be?...and I've noticed her do the same to others...she calls everyone "my love"....and talks crap about them in her language, she's so fake. Then if you don't want the gel polish she practically freaks out...and asks "why?!" "It's faster" and mind you just for a fill and gel polish they charge $40 which is high if u ask me...and the gel starts peeling off after a week....then, I never had nail fungus until I had my nails done here....the one time I was there this lady that was with her daughter had just yelled at the owner and told her "there are a million nail places like this, I don't have to put up with you!" and walked out....I know this because they were all talking about it when I was getting my fill....and everytime I was there she was always yelling at the young man who works there, I mean like down to him....I don't know how he can put up with her... I could go on and on, this is the first time I've ever left a review but felt like I should warn ppl, I honestly don't know how they get such great reviews...that's why i went to them, because of the reviews,...

Horrible horrible service, this was my first time here and was getting my nails filled in. The moment I walked into the room the workers were rude, the lady that did my nails didn't even say hi back when i initially greeted her, and she continued to ignore me and only asked if I wanted my eyebrows done and if I wanted square nails, the rest was complete silence and awkward. The prices are higher than usual as well, if you go down to lakeside you can get a fill in for $15, they charged $20, so I expected a better job on my nails than usual, wrong. I had a class that day and was in a rush so I just glanced over my nails and left. Not even a half hour later, from me simply pumping my gas, the color started to chip off my thumb nail. And as I looked closer to my nails the color was uneven and looked like something I could do, so much for $20. So I returned to the nail salon and requested I had my nails re-done because of the poor quality work, which the owner did. But it felt very hostile as the owner of the business fixed the terrible work because not only did she not apologize for the poor service she tried to justify it by repeating "it's okay, it's okay, it's okay" with a fake smile as she fixed my nails. I have NEVER felt so uncomfortable at a nail salon before, and if I could give no stars, I would...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. This is the worst manicure I've gotten in my life. My coworker and I came here on our lunch break, we had made appointments and the place was empty when we got there. The first woman filed my nails down to nubs to the point if she went any further it would have started bleeding. They were uneven and jagged. Then a second woman stepped in to paint my nails and the paint job was sloppy and uneven. Edges were left unpainted, the top coat was left all around my cuticles and the end result was that it looked horrible. After she painted them she took the file again (I imagine to try to remove all the polish that wasn't correctly on my nail) and filed SO hard it caused pain.
