I am posting this review because no one reached out to me after a private complaint to corporate. My advice, stay away from Krispy Kreme around the holidays. Several issues I encountered with what was ostensibly a simple order on 2/13 are numbered below. It was quite the headache, and it prompted this review. 1) Specialty donuts never in stock; Customer service never responded to my request for help. I decided to surprise my girlfriend with Valentine's Day donuts (on 2/13, when we were to celebrate). Unfortunately, it became apparent that the locations in MI were all out for several days leading up to the 13th. (I tried from 2/10-2/13 to order for 2/13 pickup). I additionally emailed customer service on 2/12 from the listed email address - even if it could not have helped me, a response would have been appreciated. I made the mistake of hinting at the V-Day donut special, since I knew that would make her excited. I had to, on the day of, inform her that there were no V-Day donuts available. She was understanding; we decided which donuts we would want instead. 2) The website changes one's order without warning after purchase. We agreed on: 4x custard-filled chocolate donuts (our favorite), 2x blueberry-glazed, 2x lemon-filled donuts, 2x original glazed, and 2x chocolate sprinkles. I remember selecting those donuts for a "custom dozen" on the website for the Utica, MI location and seeing the visual. I additionally ordered generic gift wrapping (sleeve) and a card with a sweet message for my girlfriend at additional expense. After paying, frustratingly, the website receipt switched the order to 2x custard-filled donuts, 2x blueberry glazed, 2x lemon-filled donuts, 3x chocolate sprinkles, and 3x original glazed, respectively (receipt available upon request). 3) Staff never picked up the location phone after several tries. I arrived at the location on the day of, and there was a long line of approx. 6-10 cars ahead of me. I called and called, each time no answer. Thereafter, I waited in the drive-thru line for quite some time (I was in a hurry, also, to pick up dinner from another location. Thankfully, I left myself enough time). 4) My full order was not fulfilled. At the window, my pickup order was not ready. It appears that the staff had not prepared it. It took a few minutes, and then I was handed a donut box without the gift sleeve and without the card. I informed them about the sleeve. They took a minute to put a gift sleeve on the box. The gift sleeve they provided was slightly ripped. 5) My order was not consistent with what was on the receipt. Later, we found out that the few chocolate custard-filled donuts (our favorite) we were to receive were instead filled with cream. -- I wish we had had a better experience with Krispy Kreme this Valentine's Day. Sincerely, Zack

Best donuts known to man. But they are very dumb the way they handle mobile orders. Make us wait in a 20 car drive thru line instead of letting mobile orders come inside to pickup. I ordered online ahead of time to be convenient. This is the exact opposite of convenience, I waited 45 minutes in the drive thru. Also at the end of this when I finally got my order, they gave me 2 glazed in place of 2 premium donuts I paid for. There is no way any reasonable person would get back in line to have this corrected and no reasonable employee would expect me to do so. I went to the door and knocked, someone saw me and I waited. Nobody came so I knocked again, someone saw me and I waited again. Once again, nobody came and I began to get that I was being ignored. It was obvious I was there because something was wrong with my order because I had 3 dozen donuts in my hands that they could clearly see that I was gesturing to. I knocked and knocked and was being ignored. It was 18 degrees outside and they were ignoring me. I had to walk to the drive thru to talk to them and when I did, they couldn’t care less about the fact they were ignoring me. These are some low class, lazy employees who do not deserve the job they have.

Beautiful, brand new restaurant, but they don't seem like they're super-organized yet. Spacious and lots of options (they have a top-your-own-donut station, shakes, a gift shop, and donut/ice cream sandwiches), but our donuts (while they still tasted lovely) were only filled on half of the donut (so like half had a little bit of filling, the other half had absolutely none). It was also peculiar that I ordered a black coffee and they added glaze to the cup. When I added my own cream and sugar to the cup, it tasted like I had used French vanilla creamer, which was horrible. I asked them if they had added anything and they said they put donut glaze in my coffee. ?? I'm really not sure why they would do that, but I had to ask for a new coffee. They were totally nice about replacing it, but it was just strange. I know the place just opened a bit ago, so maybe they just need a little longer to hit their stride??? This isn't someplace I would regularly visit, but I would maybe try them again in the future if I was in town and wanted a sweet treat.

It was my little sisters birthday, and she was so excited to go to get donuts for her birthday! So we went to this location to get some. To get the free donuts for your birthday you must purchase something when I went up to the window the response that I got was “what do you want” not welcome to our location, not good morning how can I help you, just a “what do you want” I asked for a smore latte but the lady on the speaker didn’t like how I said “smore” after correcting me three times on how to say smore we got to the window, with the barcode ready I told her my sister had a barcode ready to get her, without even trying to scan anything she said “we cannot do it our system doesn’t allow us” I said nevermind and ordered my coffee and donuts online to get the birthday donuts because it worked on the app, as we walked in she was talking about my 15 year old sister and I about how we don’t understand the system and how even if the system allowed her to scan the barcode she wouldn’t of tried anyway. She saw us listening to her and without hesitation said “as I told you we cannot help you” I told her we ordered it on the app because it allowed me to, she then told her coworker to do the order and stormed off into the bathroom. The coworker did it and told me to enjoy my day. After all of that the donuts were horrible the glaze on them felt and looked like they have been sitting there for days, the coffee was also disgusting.

Moral of the story don’t go to this location and if you can’t say smore right the workers at the location will let you know and if it’s your birthday don’t expect the donuts there system can’t do it and they...

Let me start by saying ASHLEY the store manager is absolutely the worst!! She flat out made me feel like I was lying! She is definitely NOT MANAGEMENT MATERIAL!! I feel so disrespected! Several times I have placed online orders, (they arrive short & they do not call me to communicate or even refund, I have to call them myself to ask why my order was incorrect-what happens to a courtesy call /text, email, to say “we are out of that, can we substitute for something else?) When I call, she tells me she is short handed, or trying to get by! Is that how a manager should explain an error? I have been in management for years! I even told her I would call corporate, she basically said go ahead! One of my orders arrived smelling like weed! I called her to tell her, she told me to call door dash even though my order was placed online through Krispy Kreme! I went back and forth then finally door dash felt bad and sent a message to the store which then allowed for my issue to be resolved by again-Krispy Kreme , not door dash (Ashley did not want to help!) ! When I called corporate to complain, Ashley basically called me back and said “ no, I refunded the order” When I read all the complaints, I wonder why corporate has even allowed the store to be ran so poorly!! They have lost my $100’s of dollars a week of business! UNACCEPTABLE!! NEVER AGAIN!! As long as Ashley is still running this store, I will NEVER...
